Plattsburgh State's Brian Latulipe (11) feilds the grounder at shortstop and fires onto first for the out. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up the home portion of the season againist SUNYAC foe Cortland tate Red Dragons in double header action. The Cardinals wouldn't have much of a answer as they would lose both games by a score of 7-0. The downfall for the Cardinals would there errors and giving up the big inning. In game would they would just not be able to get hits as they were held to four hits. In game two there downfall would be four errors and allowing a five run 5th inning. We lose the Cardinals fall to 3-11 on the season, They will look to get back on track Wednesday when they host Lyndon State. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Baseball: Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs St. Regis Falls Saints May 14 2013

Chateaugay's Nick Ashline (6) with the fastball to the plate for the strikeout that looked like it was after the camera. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Section X East Division doubleheader action. In the first game, the teams would each get three to have it tied at 3. The Bulldogs would get a single run in the fourth to make it 4-3 Bulldogs. Then in the fourth, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 6-3. In the fifth, the Saints would do there best to make a comeback it would fall short though as they would make it 6-5 Bulldogs take game one. In the second game, the Saints would get out to the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second inning, the Saints would get four while the Bulldogs would get one to make it 5-1. Then in the third, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 5-3. Then in the fourth, the comeback would be complete as they would get four more to take the 7-5 lead. Then in the fifth, they would get three more while the Saints could just mustard one as the Bulldogs would get the 10-6 win. With the win, it would give the Bulldogs a sweep on the day and give them a 4-6 record on the season. Gallery

The Fourth Ward Cardinals would host the Meron's Expos in the deciding game of the series for the right to go the finals. The game would start of close as the teams would trade runs in the first to have a 1-1 game. From there on out the Cardinals would pour it on as the Expos just seemed to have an off day. The Cardinals would break the game open in the second with six runs for the 7-1 lead and from there they would cruise to the 14-3 win. With the win, the Cardinals advance to the Championship where they will take on the defending champion Lyon Mountain Miners in the best of three series. Gallery

The game would be a pitchers duel as the Athletics would get the lone run in the game in the fourth inning for the win. For the Athletics Brain Burns would go the distance for the complete-game shutout win while giving up 4 hits. In just as good a game Padres Frank Brogna would get the complete game 6 hits on and one run. With the Athletics win, they will take the Lyon Mountain Miners in the semi-finals. Gallery
