The Northern Adirondack Bobcats would meet up with the Madrid Waddington Yellow Jackets in the first round of the New York State Class C basketball championships. The Bobcats would jump out to the quick 16-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bobcats would extend there lead by winning the quarter 11-6 and have a 27-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same as the Bobcats win the quarter 13-6 and have a 40-21 lead. In the fourth quarter the Bobcats would step back a bit and the Jackets would win the quarter 15-6. The Larries would hold the early slim lead 12-11 after the first quarter. In the second quarter In the second quarter, the Sentinels would take control with a 15-9 quarter and have a 26-21 lead at the half. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Sentinels would have another 15-9 quarter for the 41-30 lead. In the fourth, the Sentinels would keep the paddle down as they would win the quarter 17-10 and secure the 58-40 victory. The Beekmentown Eagles would meet up with the Salmon River Shamrocks in the NYS Division II Quarterfinals with the winner going to the final four. The game would remain scoreless until the 5:22 mark of the second period when Josh McCaulley would score for the Eagles to make it 1-0. The Shamrocks would tie the game up at 1 at the 11:35 mark of the second period. That is where the game would stay until the 2:22 mark of double when Beekmantown's Cade Collins would score the game winner off the face off for the 2-1 victory. The #1 Ticonderoga Sentinels meet up with the #2 Northern Adirondack Bobcats in the Section 7 Class C Championship, The game would be tight through the first quarter as the teams would be tied at 11. In the second quarter, the game would remain tight as Ticonderoga wins the quarter 17-14 to have a 28-25 lead at the half. In the third quarter, The Bobcats would win it slightly 10-9 but still trail 37-35 heading to the fourth. In the fourth quarter, Ticonderoga would pull away and win the quarter 14-8 and get the 51-43 victory. The game would stay there until the 3:06 mak of the third period when Mellisa Sheeran would score on the power play to make it 2-1 and the Cardinals would hold on for the 2-1 victory. The Cardinals would jump out to the 5-3 lead after the first quarter on goals from Billy Moller, Ryan Callahan (2), Jake Carroll, and Ryan Hubbard. In the second quarter, the Cardinal offense would step up and win the quarter 7-1 on goals from Ryan Callahan (2), Ryan Hubbard (4) and Ryan Ehli for the 12-4 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Spartans would do there best to make it a game and win the quarter 3-2 scoring for the Cardinals was Austin Belz and Brad Johnson and take a 14-7 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would put the finishing touches on the game with a 6-0 quarter with goals from Jake Carroll, Mike Gay, Austin Belz, Sean Alder, Logan Lamothe, and EJ Suris for the 20-7 victory. This would be a game between two very evenly matched and would be a defensive game and game where both goals would perform great. The lone goal of the game would come with 46 seconds left in the first period when Matthew Maggy would tip the shot by Nathan Herbet. That would be all that the Eagles would need as they would hold on for the 1-0 victory. Then at the 9:33 mark of the third period Cardinals, Melissa Sheeran would get her second goal of the night to make it 5-1. The #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars would meet up with the #6 Beekmantown Eagles in the Section VII Class B Semi-Finals. The Eagles would have upset on there mind early in the game as they would have an 11-5 lead after the first. In the second quarter, the Cougars would start to claw there way back wining the quarter 10-7 although the Eagles would have an 18-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the scoring would pick up and the Eagles would win the third quarter 16-13 and have a 34-28 lead head to the fourth. Although in the fourth the Cougars would have shutdown defense winning the quarter 12-4. With the Cougars would get the comeback victory at 40-38 and advance to the Class B Finals against the Plattsburgh Hornets. Gallery
