It would be a clash between Champlain Valley Athletic Conference foes at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Saranac Chiefs in conference action. The game would be tight through the first period as there would be no scoring in the period. The Eagles would finally break the ice in the second period and get on the broad with a goal from Dalton Kane. Then the third period would come along and it would a totally different game as the Chiefs would explode for four goals in the period as Austin Carpenter would get three himself and Hunter Provost would add one to give the Chiefs the 4-1 win. With the win, Erick Fechette would stop 31 shots as the Chiefs go to 11-7 on the season and have a date with the Plattsburgh Hornets on the 11th. As for the Eagles Riley Hansen would make 23 saves as they fall to 7-8-1 on the season and are back in action on February 12th as they take on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. Gallery

Saranac Chiefs celebrate after they explode for four goals in the third for the come from behind win. It would be a clash between Champlain Valley Athletic Conference foes at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Saranac Chiefs in conference action. The game would be tight throughout the first period as there would be no scoring. The Trojans would get the opening goal of the game at the 5:25 mark on the Colin Schmatz would score for a 1-0 game. Although the Chiefs would answer back two minutes later to tie the game at 1 on the Nikolas Hamel goal. Then in the final minute of the game, Hayden Buckley would score on the empty net to secure the 4-1 victory. The Chiefs would keep fighting and eventually tie the game up with three minutes left in the second period on Saranac's Hayden Buckley goal. The Eagles would keep fighting and eventually take the lead back on Luke Moser (10) to make it 2-1 with five minutes left in the game. That would be enough as the Eagles would get the 2-1. In the winning effort, Riley Hansen would make 31 saves as the Eagles go to 4-2-1 while Erik Frechette for the Chiefs would make 27 saves as the Chiefs are now 6-2 on the season. Gallery

Saranac's Dylan Eagleson (7) and St. Lawerence's Brendan Phippen (3) battle for the loose puck at the blueline. The Saranac Chiefs would host the St. Lawerence Larries in nonconference action at the Ameri-can north arena. The Larries would get the scoring starting with a goal from Noah Adams at the 4:02 mark of the first period. About three minutes later the Larries would double there lead at 2-0 on a score from another Adams this time Ashton. The Chiefs would fight and get on the board at the 6:05 mark on Austin Carpenters' goal to make it 2-1. The Chiefs would tie the game at 2 in the final three minutes of the period on the Nolan Knight goal. When the team's comeback for the second period the Larries would take control again and get goals from Brendan Phippen and Mason Frary to make it 4-2. Although the Chiefs would keep fighting and tie the game back up in the final two minutes of the period with two quick ones from Hunter Provost and Hayden Buckley. In the third period, the Larries would once again take the lead this time on Ashton Adams's second goal of the game at the 2:29 mark. Although the Chiefs would battle back and fight to tie the game at five on Hayden Buckley's second of the game with three minutes left in regulation. In the overtime, the Larries appeared to have the game-winner but was called off as the net was off. The Chiefs would take advantage of it and get the game-winner on a shorthand by Austin Carpenter in the final seconds for the 6-5 win. In the winning effort, the Chiefs go to 5-0 while the Larries go to 1-1 on the season. Gallery

Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers @ Saranac Chiefs - High School Boys Hockey - December 20th 2019

Saranac's Austin Carpenter (6) wth the shot for the circle that finds the short side for one of two goals. It would be opening night of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and the Saranac Chiefs would host the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers at Amer-can North. The opening goal of the game would come to the Chiefs Austin Carpenter at the 5:39 mark of the first period for the 1-0 lead. In the second part of the period, the Lakers would strike two goals from Rhett Darrah and Dustin Patterson for a 2-1 game at the end of the period. In the second period, the tables would flip and the Chiefs would score twice while the Lakers would get one. The goal scores would be Dylan Eagleson and Bailey Marsh for the Chiefs and Ben Munn for the Lakers and game would be tied at three headed to the third. In the third period, the Lakers offense would come alive and strike for four goals from Tyler Hinckley (twice), Hunter Walmont and Dylan Amell. While the Chiefs would get a lone goal from Austin Carpenter as the Lakers would get the 7-4 victory. In the winning effort, Tyler Hinchley would score twice and Dylan Amell would have 5 points on the night for the Lakers, while Erick Frechette would have 51 saves on the night. Malone Huskies @ Saranac Chiefs - High School Boys Hockey - December 3rd 2019

Saranac's Austin Carpenter (6) lines up the shot on Malone's Jeremiah Schraf (30). It would be the start of the season for both the Saranac Chiefs as they would host the Malone Huskies. The game would start off good for the Chiefs as Nolan Knight would get the first goal two minutes into the game. The game would stay there till the 12-minute mark of the period when Chiefs Austin Carpenter would strike to make it a 2-0 game. Although Carpenter wouldn't stop there as he would strike again in the final minute of the period to make it 3-0. The game would stay there through the second period as there was no scoring. As the third period would start the Chiefs would add another one 31 seconds on the Zack O'Connell goal for the 4-0 lead. From there the Chiefs would shut the Huskies down and secure the 4-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Chiefs start the season at 1-0 while the Huskies fall to 0-1. Gallery

#3 Saranac Chiefs @ #2 Saranac Lake Red Storm - New York State Section VII Class C Semi-Finals - October 26th 2019

Saranac's Bryce Smith (7) with the pass breakup on the pass intended for Saranac Lake's Jeffrey Lavair. It would be the Saranac Chiefs traveling to Saranac Lake and taking on the Red Storm in the New York State Class C Semi-finals. The Red Storms would get the first score of the game on a 78 yard pass to Sam Donaldson at the 7:05 mark of the first quarter for the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there for the rest of the first half as it would be marred by turnovers. The Red Storm would extent the lead to 14-0 on the 1 yard run by Logan Brown at the 6:15 mark of the third quarter. Then just 50 seconds into the fourth quarter the Red Storm would make it 21-0 on a 15 yard run by Rhett Darrah. The Chiefs would get on the board in the final two minutes on a 13 yard quarterback keeper by Garett Adolfo to make it 21-7. Although with the win by the Saranac Lake Red Storm they go to 5-3 and advance to the New York State Section VII Class C Championship and play the Ausable Valley Patriots as the season comes to end for the Saranac Chiefs at 3-5.
