Saranac's Zack O'Connell (12) crunches Beekmantown's Gordie King (4) along the boards with the hard-hit from behind although it would cost him some time in the box. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Beekmantown Eagles in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. It would be a long feeling out period as it would take til inside the final five minutes of the first period when Eagles Cooper Burdo would score and make it 1-0. The Chiefs would keep fighting and eventually tie the game up with three minutes left in the second period on Saranac's Hayden Buckley goal. The Eagles would keep fighting and eventual take the lead back on Luke Moser (10) to make it 2-1 with five minutes left in the game. That would be enough as the Eagles would get the 2-1. In the winning effort, Riley Hansen would make 31 saves as the Eagles go to 4-2-1 while Erik Frechette for the Chiefs would make 27 saves as the Chiefs are now 6-2 on the season. Gallery.
