It would be opening night of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and the Saranac Chiefs would host the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers at Amer-can North. The opening goal of the game would come to the Chiefs Austin Carpenter at the 5:39 mark of the first period for the 1-0 lead. In the second part of the period, the Lakers would strike two goals from Rhett Darrah and Dustin Patterson for a 2-1 game at the end of the period. In the second period, the tables would flip and the Chiefs would score twice while the Lakers would get one. The goal scores would be Dylan Eagleson and Bailey Marsh for the Chiefs and Ben Munn for the Lakers and game would be tied at three headed to the third. In the third period, the Lakers offense would come alive and strike for four goals from Tyler Hinckley (twice), Hunter Walmont and Dylan Amell. While the Chiefs would get a lone goal from Austin Carpenter as the Lakers would get the 7-4 victory. In the winning effort, Tyler Hinchley would score twice and Dylan Amell would have 5 points on the night for the Lakers, while Erick Frechette would have 51 saves on the night. The Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers go to 4-1 while the Saranac Chiefs fall to 4-1 on the season. Gallery
