Chateaugay's Nick Ashline (6) with the fastball to the plate for the strikeout that looked like it was after the camera. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Section X East Division doubleheader action. In the first game, the teams would each get three to have it tied at 3. The Bulldogs would get a single run in the fourth to make it 4-3 Bulldogs. Then in the fourth, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 6-3. In the fifth, the Saints would do there best to make a comeback it would fall short though as they would make it 6-5 Bulldogs take game one. In the second game, the Saints would get out to the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second inning, the Saints would get four while the Bulldogs would get one to make it 5-1. Then in the third, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 5-3. Then in the fourth, the comeback would be complete as they would get four more to take the 7-5 lead. Then in the fifth, they would get three more while the Saints could just mustard one as the Bulldogs would get the 10-6 win. With the win, it would give the Bulldogs a sweep on the day and give them a 4-6 record on the season. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Baseball: Saranac Chiefs (JV) Vs Beekmantown Eagles (JV) May 18 2015

Saranac's Hunter Williams (5) with the tag at second to get them would-be base stealer. It would be the last JV game of the season and it would match up the Saranac Chiefs and the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would jump out to an 8-1 lead after the fourth inning. Then the Chiefs would slowly start crawling there way back into the game as they would get a couple in the fifth to make it 8-3. Then in the sixth, they would great three more to make it 8-6. Unfortunately though the rain would start coming and hard and the game would be called after the sixth inning to give the Eagles the 8-6 victory. Gallery

The Eagles would jump out to a 8-1 lead after the fourth inning. Then the Chiefs would slowly start crawling there way back into the game as they would get a couple in the fifth to make it 8-3. Then in the sixth they would great three more to make it 8-6. Saranac's (8) slides in safe at third under the tag. It would be the Saranac Chiefs and the Plattsburgh Hornets in Section 7 JV baseball. It would be a day that would be in favor of the Hornets as they would take the quick 2-0 lead in the first. They would extend the lead in the third to 5-0. The in the top of the fourth Chiefs would get on the board to make it 5-1. Although at the bottom of the inning the Hornets would break the game wide open and take a 10-1 lead. Then in the sixth, the Chiefs would get a couple to try and get back in the game and make it 10-3. That's where the game would finish as the Hornets would get the 10-3 victory. In the losing effort, the Chiefs would fall to 0-2 in the early season. Gallery.

Malone's Devan Monnette (12) slides in to score the winning run. The Malone Huskies would defeat the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers 9-8 in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the seventh. The Flyers would open up the scoring with one in the first. Although the Huskies would come back with three in the bottom to take the 3-1 lead. The Flyers would tie it back up with one in the second and third. The Huskie bats would come alive in the fourth with four runs to take the 7-3 lead. Then in the sixth, they would get one more for the 8-3 lead. Then in the top of seventh errors would cost the Huskies as they would allow the Flyers to tie it up at eight. Then in the bottom of the inning is where the Huskies would pull it up on a walk-off single scoring Devan Monette. With the win, the Huskies improve to 13-3 on the season. Gallery

Then in the second, they would get two more runs to make it 4-0 Panthers. In the third inning, they would add another run to make it 5-0. Then in the fourth, they would add four more to make it 9-0. Then in the fifth, they would explode for six runs and put the game away at 15-0. In the winning effort, Alex Brunett would go the distance for the shutout and strike out at 11. Westport's (6) Brian Christian slides in safe at second base with a stolen base as the Eagles beat the Minerva-Newcomb Mountaineers 13-6 as Westport goes to 5-1 on the regular season in MVAC action. The game was a close game up until the bottom of the 4th inning where the Eagles would explode with 6 runs. It started with #2 James Moricette (1B) would walk, steals 2nd and advance to 3rd on a passed ball. #6 Christian (3B) would drive him in on a single then would steal 3rd and score on a ground out by #27 Tyrel Typhon (RF). Then #40 Chris Clarke (LF) gets a single but would get thrown out at 2nd for the 2nd out of the inning. Then #3 Thomas Mero (2B) would get a single up the middle then score from #10 John Doyle's (CF) base hit and RBI. Then he would score from an RBI hit up the middle by #5 Ryan Davis (C). Davis would steal 2nd and 3rd then #25 Sam Nopper (P) get an RBI hit up the middle. He would steal 2nd and advance to 3rd and score on 2 connective passed balls making it a 6 run inning for the Eagles. The next batter #22 Dylan Limlan (SS) would strike out looking to end the inning as Westport would score 6 runs on 6 hits to blow the game wide open 9-3 with a final score of 13-6. #25 Nopper (P) would get the win with 11 strikeouts over 7 innings and allow 6 runs on 6 hits and 5 walks. #4 Mero (2B) would go 2-3 with 3 runs, 4 stolen bases, 2 hits while reaching 1st on a fielding error, and would strikeout once. #5 Davis (C) would go 3-3 with 2 RBI, 3 runs, 6 stolen bases, 1 double, 2 singles and 1 walk. #2 Moricette (1B) would go 0-1 but had 2 walks, 3 runs, 4 stolen bases and 1 hit by a pitch for the Eagles. For the Mountaineers #, 15 Kaleb Helms (P) would go 2-3 with 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 RBI, and 1 stolen base. Gallery.
