The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals started off their weekend home series against the Cortland Red Dragons in a game that they would dominate from start to finish for the 5-1 victory. The Cardinals would take the early 1-0 lead in the 1st period and never look back from that point. With the win, the Cardinals improved to 3-0 on the early season.
