The game would start out good for the visiting Eagles as they would get the opening goal at the 10:19 mark of the first period on the Reid Fessette goal. Although the Chiefs would have an answer in the final three minutes of the period on a goal from Landon Duprey to tie the game at one. Then in the first 90 seconds of the second period, the Eagles would regain their 1 goal lead on the goal by Quinn Brandell to make it 2-1 Eagles. Although the Chiefs would keep fighting and tie the game back up at two on the Hayden Buckley goal at the 10:22 mark of the second period. The Eagles would once again fight back and take the lead 3-2 at the 4:48 mark of the third period on the Robert Tetreault goal. Although the Chiefs wouldn't go quietly into the night as they would keep coming and tie the game up again in the final 20 seconds on Landon Duprey's second goal of the game sending us into overtime. In the overtime frame #19 would rip one pass the goaltender at the 3:23 mark to send the Eagles fans home happy with a 4-3 victory, In the winning effort Austin Doser would make 12 saves as they go to 2-0 while the Chiefs fall to 2-3 on a 29 saves night by Mason Patnode. It would be the semi-finals of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class C playoffs as the #2 Beekmantown Eagles would host the #3 Saranac Chiefs for the right to go to the championship and take on the #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm. In a game that would be moving at a very quick pace, the Eagles would get the opening score of the game at the 6:05 mark when Andrew Vannatten would break a 93 yard run for the score and take a 6-0 Eagles lead. The game would stay there till the 7:13 mark of the second quarter when Hunter Devins would strike from three yards out and give the Chiefs the 7-6 lead. Although the Eagles would regain the lead with 11 seconds left in the half on the 47 strikes to Keith Parent to give the Eagles the 12-7. Although the Chiefs would strike on their first play of the ensuing drive on a 38-yard pass to Hunter Devins as time expired to take the 13-12. The only score of the third quarter would come on a crazy play as Beekmentown's Carter Duccatte that had an interception in the endzone and ran out of the endzone but went back in and took a knee making it safety and giving the Chiefs 2 points and a 15-12 lead. The Chiefs would be able to expand their lead to 2 scores on Hunter Devins's third score of the game at the 5:44 mark on a 1-yard run to make it a 21-12 game. Then at the 8:12 mark of the quarter, the Eagles would hit Keith Parent again for his second score of the game on a 30-yard pass to make it a 21-18 game. Although with 1:32 left in the game the Chiefs would put the icing on the game as Hunter Devins would strike for the fourth time this time from 36 yards to make it a 28-18 game and give the Chiefs the win. In the winning effort, the Chiefs go to 2-6 on the season and will play the Saranac Lake Red Storm for the Class C title while the Beekmantown Eagles season comes to an end at 2-6. Gallery

Peru's Riley Hebert (8) with the catch along the sidelines and turns it upfield for the gain. It would be week 6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be the classic rivalry as the Peru Nighthawks would host the Beekmantown Eagles. It would take long for the first score of the game as the Nighthawks would score in the first minute of a 57-yard quarterback keeper as Zach O'Connell would keep it for the score and 7-0 lead. It would only be a minute and a half later and the Nighthawks would double up their lead on a 17-yard pass to Keegan Smith to make it 14-0. The game would stay there till there were four minutes left in the half when the Eagles would cut the deficit in half at 14-7 on the 30-yard pass to Peyton Viau. Although the Nighthawks wouldn't want to be outdone as they would score in the closing seconds of the half as Keegan Smith would get his second score of the game to make it 21-7 at the half. In the second half, both of the defenses would step up their games and there would be just one score. As Peru's Keegan Smith would get his third score of the game this time on the ground for 8 yards and secure the 28-7 victory. In the winning effort, the Nighthawks go to 5-1 and will finish off their season at Saranac Lake next week. While the Eagles fall to 1-5 on the season and finish of there season next week against Ticonderoga.

Beekmantown's Trent Trahan (20) with bodycheck on Plattsburgh's Hayden Colburn (16) that takes him right to the ice. It would be the start of the final week of the regular season in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Hockey season as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Beekmantown Eagles at the Amer-can North Sports Center. The game would be tight through the first half of the first period until DJ Gonyo would light the lamp at the 8:48 mark of the period on the powerplay for the 1-0 lead. Then just outside the five-minute mark of the first period, the Eagles would strike again on special teams this time from Dalton Kane on the shorthand goal for the 2-0 lead. Then at the 6:39 mark of the second period, the Hornets would get on the board and cut the lead in half a 2-1 on the Knowles goal. The Hornets would waste time getting the equalizer just 90 seconds later on the Colburn goal. Although the Eagles would answer back again on special teams with the Burdo goal with 2:15 left in the second period to regain the 3-2 lead. That's where the game would be as they entered the third period and in that period when the Eagles Sweenor would score on the powerplay to make it 4-2 just two minutes into the period. Then with just under 6 minutes to go in the game the Eagles would make it 6-2 once again on the powerplay this time the goal would go to Tetreault goal for the 5-2 victory. In the winning effort, Riley Hansen would make 22 stops as they go to 6-3-2 and Plattsburgh's Calkins would make 19 saves as they fall to 0-11 on the season.Gallery.

It would be another classic rival game as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the crosstown Beekmantown Eagles at the high school gymnasium. The Eagles would get off to a flying start and take a 19-10 advantage through the first quarter. In the second quarter, it would be a moe eventually match defensive quarter as the Eagles would win the quarter 9-8 and take a 28-18 lead into intermission. When the teams came back from the break the Eagles would be hammer down and expand the lead and start to but the game away with a 14-5 quarter and have a 42-23 lead into the final stanza. In the final stanza, the Hornets would do their best to stay with the Eagles but that's all they could do as they would win the quarter 11-10 but the win would go to the Eagles at 53-33. In a losing effort, Liam Perkins for the Hornets would lead all scorers with fifteen points. Next up for the Hornets would be a road tilt against Northeastern Clinton while the Eagles also will have their next game against Northeastern Clinton but not till Friday, March 12th. Gallery

It would be the middle game of a three-game series between crosstown rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would strike first at the 3:19 mark of the first period on the Robert Tetreault goal. Then just over two minutes later the Eagles would light the lamp again and extend their lead to 2-0 on the powerplay goal from Dalton Kane. Then with just over four minutes left in the first period, the Eagles would strike again for their second powerplay goal this time from DJ Gonyo, and take the 3-0 lead into the first intermission. When the teams came back for the second period the Hornets wouldn't waste time in getting back in the game and making it a 3-1 game on the Jace Lacey goal. Then at the five-minute mark of the second period, the Eagles would extend their lead back to three on the Cooper Burdo 4 on 4 goals. That would be all the scoring throughout the game as there would be no scoring in the third period as the Eagles get the 4-1 victory. In the winning effort for the Eagles, Riley Hansen would make 25 saves as they go to 3-2 on the season while the Hornets fall to 1-4 on the season.Gallery.
