From there on out the Bulldogs shutdown defense would keep the Colts in check and get the 2-0 lead. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Edwards-Knox Cougars in the quarterfinals on the section x boys soccer tournament. The Bulldogs would get the 1-0 lead within the first five minutes of the game on the Chad Slater goal. The Cougars would get the equalizer in the 38th minute to make 1-1. That is where the score would remain throughout the rest of the regulation. The game would extra time to resolve it and that's were Bulldogs would get the game-winner from Chad Slater on a mad scramble in front of the net.
