Meron's Expos vs Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs June 5th 2011

The Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs runner would slide under the tag of Meron's Expos (8) on a bang-bang play at the plate after the pitch got away from the catcher and went to the backstop. The Timberjaxxs would earn the sweep of the Expos in the doubleheader in a couple of high scoring affairs at the hitter-friendly park at South Acres. The Timberjaxxs would defeat the Expos 16-6 in game 1 and then 17-8 in game 2. Gallery

The Meron's Expos runner is gunned out at the plate when he tried to score on a base hit from second base. The Timberjaxxs would earn the sweep of the Expos in the doubleheader in a couple of high scoring affairs at the hitter friendly park at South Acres. Plattsburgh Cardinals Chris Bujold (99) with the fastball to the plate for the strike. The Padres would continue there losing streak which is now up to eight games with another couple of heartbreaking losses as in game one they would lose 9-6 after giving up an 8 run inning in the 6th inning. Then in game two they would come up one run short again with a 5-4 defeat in a game that saw them behind 5-0 heading into the 6th they would get two runs in the 6th and another two runs in the seventh and had the game-tying run on base.

It would be a couple of hotly contested ball games. The Miners would go on to win both games by a count of 6-5 and 14-11 F/9. In the first game the Padres would get the tying run into scoring position but were unable to get him home. Then in nightcap, it would be a slugfest that would see the Padres tie the game three different times but were never able to get that extra run and would lose 14-11 in extra innings. With the games in the books, the Miners would stay undefeated at 6-0 and the Padres would remain winless at 0-6. Gallery

Champlain Valley Baseball League Airborne Speedway Padres Vs Plattsburgh Cardinals May 1st 2011

Plattsburgh Cardinals base runner slides in safe at second base with the stolen base under the tag of Alex Cole (7). It was opening day in the Champlain Valley Baseball League (CVBL). As the Airborne Speedway Padres would host the Plattsburgh Cardinals in a doubleheader at Saranac High School. The opening game would be a great game that saw the Cardinals score three runs in the sixth to tie the game and forces extra innings. In the extra innings the Cardinals would get one in the top of the eighth then bottom of the innings the Padres would load the bases with no outs and then Cardinals would get a strikeout and then a double play online drive that was tattooed back up the middle as the Cardinals hold on to the 4-3 win. In the second game, the Cardinals would get one in the second as that would be all the needed as they go on for the 4-0 shut out victory. With the opening weekend in the books, the Padres fall to 0-2 on the season and the Cardinals have the early lead at 2-0.
