Clinton County Fair Demolition Derby July 30th 2023

Landon Sears (72) would hard hit on the 7b as they were slinging the mud in the semi-stock class Sears would be crowned the winner. It would be the last day of the Clinton County Fair 75th edition and it would be the popular demolition derby as the grandstand entertainment for the day as it would have something for drivers of all ages with the power wheels, lawn tractors, Compact Cars (Stock, Semi Stock, Modified), Modified Full-Size Cars, Trucks and Vans and there would be just about a 100 cars on the day. The demolition derby action would start off with the kids in the power wheels derby getting their 15 minutes of fame in front of the packed house as they show off their future derby skills. Then it would be onto the lawn tractors demolition derby and there would be ten of them and when the dust and smashing settled the winner would be Scott Bouyea. Then it would be onto the heats for the stock compact cars and there would be five of them and the winners would be Travis Reo, Aisleigh Sandberg, Kolby Blaise, Alex Martin, and Alan Fountain. Then it would be onto the evening show for the day and it would start off with the last chance qualifier for the stock compact cars and Terry Reno and Sami Durgan would advance. Then it would be featured from then on and it would start with the new Semi Stock Compact Cars and the winner on the night would end being Landon Sears, then it would be onto the trucks and vans in the full-size and mini division Dylan Peryea and Chico Martineau. Then next up would be the Modified Compact Cars and the four-car event and the winner would be Dave Compeau after the classic meltdown. Then we would have the beast of the demolition derby world with the fully modified full-size cars and it would come down to brotherly love as Kyle and Kaden Barney would battle it out for the thousand-dollar prize with Kyle getting the best of him this time around. The night would finish off with the stock compact cars main the $4,000 first place prize and 21 qualifiers in action and taking home the big check would be Terry Reno. Gallery

Versus Monster Truck Tour @ Clinton County Fair July 30th 2023

Steve Sims and the Stone Crusher go vertical with the hit during the wheelie contest for the second straight win. It would be the second night of racing for the Versus Monster Truck Tour at the Clinton County Fair and the same five trucks would be in action again with Paul Breuad (Backdraft), Gage Bursey (Excavator), Frank Krmel (Hooked) Anne Breuad (Muddy Girl) and Steve Sims (Stone Crusher) in four disciplines the Long Jump, Wheelie, Dounts, and Freestyle and there would also be other entertainment with the clown Bobby Cox and Stuntman Chris Monrea. First up out of the box would be the Long Jump and it would come down to Muddy Girl and Stone Crusher with the win going to Muddy Girl with a jump of 65 feet. Then next up would be Chris Monrea with his car jump which would be a little tricky tonight with the wet conditions and Chris Monrea would come up short of his landing zone and come to rest up next to the first car. Then it would be onto the Wheelie contest and the win would go to Steve Sims and Stone Crusher as he would launch the truck straight up and down. Then we would have the don't contest and again Steve Sims would be crowned the winner as he would cut the grass up and sling it everywhere for the cyclone. Then we would have Chris Morena as he would be back this time to attempt the rollover and it would be a great attempt as he would get three separate rollovers before the car call it a night. Then to end of the night it would be very popular Freestyle and then just like he was the rest of the night Steve Sims and Stone Crusher would bring the house down and get the win, With that Steve Sims and Stone Crusher would be named the overall winner for the second night in a row. The Versus Monster Truck Tour will take a month off before they are back in action with their finals on August 26th at Ramsonville Speedway in Ramsonville, NY. Gallery

Versus Monster Truck Tour @ Clinton County Fair July 29th 2023

Hooked and Frank Krmel gets some air during the long jump and looks like he went over the top of Backdraft in the process. It would be the third year in a row that the Versus Monster Truck Tour would return to Plattsburgh, NY, and the Clinton County Fairgrounds, and this time they would bring five monster trucks with them and stunt man Crash Monreau. The five tucks that they are ould have are Excavator with Gage Bursey, Muddy Girl with Anne Streatch, Backdraft with Paul Breaud, Hooked and Frank Krmel, and Stone Crusher and Steve Sims in four different disciplines. After the intros were done it would be onto the show and start with the Long Jump and the winner would be Steve Sims in Stone Crusher over Muddy Gurl and Anne Streatch in a jump-off at over 73 feet to win. Then next up would be a car stunt with Crash Monereau as he would leap over 100 feet in the air and land in a pile of cars. Then it would be back to the Monster Trucks with the Wheelie Contest and Stone Crusher and Steve Sims would get his second win of the night as he would send the truck straight up and down. Then it would be on the Dount Contest and it would be a tie between Steve Sims and Stone Crusher and Muddy Girl and Anne Streatch. Then after a brief ten-minute intermission, it would be onto to second half of the show and it would start with a Rollover by Crash Monreau and he would take it over 1.5 times. Then it would be onto the crowd favorite to end the night with the popular Freestyle competition and the win would go to Steve Sims and StoneCrusher as he would tear the house down with an over three-minute freestyle run. Steve Sims and Stone Crusher would sweep the night for the overall action. The Versus Mobster Truck Tour will be back in action again tomorrow night with their second straight night of action at the Clinton County Fair. Gallery

2 Xtreme Monster Truck Series @ Vermont State Fairgrounds Rutland Vermont September 23rd 2023

Levi Renez with 406 FMX with the backflip on his razor to a huge success with the crowd. The 2 Xtreme Monster Truck Series would make their third year in a row stop at the Vermont State Fairgrounds in Rutland, Vermont bringing in there four truck team with Red Baron and Mike Brister, Shark Bite and Rob Poutre, Scarlet Bandit and Dawn Creten and the world champion Bounty Hunter and Jimmy Creten. The evening would start off with Monster Truck qualifying on the Chicago Style track and Shark Bite would be the fastest. Then it would be onto racing and it would come down to Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter and Rob Poutre and Shark Bite for the finals and the winner would be the local Vermont boy Rob Poutre and Shark Bite getting the win over the boss. In between the rounds and the two-wheel skills contest the guys from 406 FMX would be out entertaining the crowd with their tricks and flips. Then it would be onto the Two Wheels Skills Contest and Shark Bite and Rob Poutre would get the win 99 on the db level with his two-wheel stoppie to barely beat out the Bounty Hunter. Then after a 20-minute intermission, it would be onto the crowd's favor Monster Truck Freestyle. However, before that, the crowd would have a special treat as Levi Renez and his razor would attempt a backflip and land it off the FMX ramp. Then it would be freestyle time and as a surprise first out of the box would be Jimmy Creten and the Bounty Hunter but he would come out and put on a top-notch show and set the bar high for the rest of the evening. Then we would have Red Baron Mike Brister and he would give the fans the high-air attack and it would be good but the Bounty Hunter would still have the lead. Then it would be the first lady of monster trucks with Dawn Creten and Scarlet Bandit and she would bring out a two-wheel assault on the track and wow the crowd and take the slight lead over her husband with just one truck to go. Although that one truck would be the local boy Rob Poutre and Shark Bite and he would come out and just put an assault on the course like no other leaving little doubt on who would be the winner. With that being said Rob Poutre and Shark Bite would get the clean sweep on the day. Next up for the 2Xtreme Monster Trucks will be the Chris Arel Monster Spectular in Montreal next weekend at the Olympic Stadium. Gallery

Clinton County Fair Truck & Tractor Pull July 25th 2023

Chad Poirier and his Limited Pro Desiel were on a pass until the end when she became a fireball at the end of the pull. It would be the opening night of the Clinton County Fair and it would be the annual truck and tractor pull brought to you by the Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers with 12 classes and just over 50 entries ranging from Stock Truck and Tractors all the way up to the Super Stock Trucks and the Limited Pro Desiel Trucks. Full Pull would be the name of the day as there were many hooks that were over 300 feet and there was a good amount that still went over 400 feet and the best one of the day was about 510 feet. The winner of the 12 classes would be Fay Cheney (Enhanced Gas Trucks), Dawson Bourdeau (Hot Farm Tractors), Walter Cheney ( Stock StreetTrucks), Dayton Roberts (Work Trucks), Rick Abare (2.5 Desiel Trucks), Jon Babbie (9,500lb & 13,00lb Stock Tractors), Gene Chauvin (8,000lb Stock Tractors), Caniac (Two Wheel Drive Trucks), John Myers (Altered Stock Tractors), Mike Wilson (Pro Limited Desiel Trucks) and Joey Michad (Super Stock Trucks). Triple 40's Night Presented by Hartson Total Opening Night July 22nd 2023

Jamy Begor (19) ducks to the bottom and gets the lead on the pas of Lonnie Rivers (R7) for the lead and eventual win in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified 40 lap event. It would be the ninth night of racing at the Airborne Speedway and it would be a packed pit with over 100 cars to race on Hartson Total Opening Triple 40's night as there would be extra distance races for the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modified, and the Renegades. Along with the Limited Sportsman Modified and the Street Stock having their normal 15 laps events. After all the battle in the heat races including a couple of photo finishes it would be onto the main events. First up would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified for their fifteen-lap event and it would be caution fest but after all the chaos settle the winner would be Dale Gonyo getting his second win of the season over Charlotte Morin and Parker Dermody to round out the top three. Then next up would be the first of our Triple 40s with the Be Cool Heating and Cooling 358 Modifieds and it would be a battle of the front row all race long between Chris Raabe and Felix Roy and after some lap cars got in the way near the end of the race Raabe would pull away for the win and Roy would be second and Steve Bernier would round out the top three. Then next up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for there 40 lap affair and Lonnie Rivers would get the race lead off the start of the race but there would eventually be a challenge up front between him and Jamy Begor that would see Begor get around him around the halfway through the race but there would be a third player in the battle near the end of the event as Fire Swamp would look to go back to back with wins but Begor would hold on for his second win of the season. Then it would be the last Triple 40 of the night with the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and it would be the Billy Thwaits and the Josh Terry show up front with Josh Terry getting the win at the end on the late-race pass for his first win of the season. Then after a long night of racing, it would finally be the last race of the night with the Taylor Rental Street Stock for their fifteen-lap affair. The race would start off with a battle up front between Brett Manor and Jason Bradley but old Reliable would come up from the 6th spot Jacob Fountain to get the lead and it would be a battle til the end between him and John Michael Bressette as Fountain would get his third win of the season. The track will be quiet next weekend July 29th as the Clinton County Fair is in town for the weekend. Although the track will come back to life on August 5th for the Small Block/Big Block Challenge. Fire Swamp (88) with the pass on Beau Reeves (00) for second place as he was charging through the field for his first win of the season. It would be the eighth night of racing of the season at the Airborne Speedway powered by the New England Ford Dealers and it would be the popular Make a Wish Night brought to you by the Liquor and Wine Warehouse. First out of the box would be the Renegade makeup feature from the July 1st event and it would be a battle up front between Bill Thwaits and Tyler Irwin Bill Thwaits would get at the line after a bunch of early cautions on the night to give him his second win of the night. Then it would be the makeup feature for the Street Stock and it would see Greg Zindler get the late-race victory when Josh Laporte had issues in the closing laps. Then it would be onto the heat races for the races that were on the schedule for this evening and the first up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and the winners would be Josh Jock, Beau Reeves, and Michael Wright. Then the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified would be out for their one heat and the winner would be Tyler Travis. Then next we would have the Street Stock on tap and the heats would go to JJ Laporte, Jason Bradley, and Josh Laporte. Then to finish off the heat racing for the night would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for a pair of races and Tyler Irwin and Zack Daniels. Then it would be onto the features for the night and it would start with the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for their 25 laps event. It would be slow to get going as there would be four cautions in the first hand full of laps but once the race got going it would see Josh Jock pull away with the lead but there would be a hard charger coming in the wake of Fire Swamp and with 3 laps to go he would be right on the back of Jock and would take the lead with two to go and claim his first win of the season. Then it would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and it would be the Tyler Travis show as he would run away for the win. Then it would be the Taylor Rental Street Stock for their main and this time it would be a 25-lap event for them and it would come right down to the wire for them and it would be Jake Fountain getting the win over JJ Laporte as they came off of turn four and there was a traffic jam as they were going to the checkered. Then to finish off the night would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for there 25 lap event and with Zack Daniels starting on the row it would be a case of Daniels getting the lead and going away and heading although Tylor Terry and Nthaniel Guay would round out the top three. Airborne Speedway will be back in action very quickly with a race on Tuesday, July 18th as they will be finishing up their event from the July 8th show. Gallery

Keith Pelkey (42) gets cloose in turn 2 and starts to correct and the car digs in and the rollover was on. It would be the seventh night of racing from Airborne Speedway on Hebert's Lawncare and Snowplowing Night with the Be Cool Heating and AC 358 Modifieds along with the J+S Steel Sportsman Modifieds, Hartson Total Opening Renegades, Taylor Rental Street Stocks, and the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modifieds. The night would start off with the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified with the feature that didn't get run the week before and it would good race up front for a few laps but then Charlotte Morin would slowly pull away from Rick Frenyea and Kobe Hernandez to get the first win of her career in the Limited Sportsman Modified. Then it would be on to the heat races for the current night and first out of the box would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modifieds and the wins would go to Josh Jock, Michael Wright, and Beau Reeves. Then next up would be the Be Cool Heating and A.C. 358 Modifieds with their two heats and the wins would go to Chris Raabe and Mike Mahaney. Then we would have the Hartson Total Renegades with their three heats and the wins would go to Zack Daniels, Josh Terry, and Billy Thwaits. Then we would have the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modifieds for their heat for tonight's feature and they would be part way through when there was a crash between Matt LaValley and Kobe Hernandez and while they were cleaning up the accident mother nature would want to make her appearance felt on the track and just drowned the track and racing will be over the night and the features will be made up on a different night. The track will be back in action next weekend July 15th with the Sportsman Modified, Renegades (double feature), Street Stock (double feature), and the Limited Sportsman Modified in action on Make a Wish and Liqouir and Wine Warehouse night. Zack Daniels (30) splits the middle between Justin White (1x) and Roch Aubin (4) as he charges to lead for his second win in a row in Pro Stock class. It would be another Friday night from the Mohawk International Raceway and it would be the run that you brung 358 Modified special brought to you by Truck Race Parts along with the Pro Stocks, Sportsman Modified, Mini Stocks, and Limited Sportsman Modified with around 80 cars in the pits. After all the heat racing was done the Turtle Nest Diner Mini Stocks would be first up and the win would go to Antoine Dumouchel after a early fight for the race lead with Curtis Smith. Then next up would be the King Cannibas Limited Sportsman Modified for there 15 lap affair and it would be an early battle up front between Nick Mallette and Dale Gonyo but Gonyo would slowly pull away and get his first win at the Mohawk International Raceway. Then after the intermission, it would be Twin Leaf 358 Modified Run which you brought special for 30 laps and the race would be dominated by Stephane LaFrance's totally tricked-out race car. Then we would have the crossroad tobacco Sportsman Modified and it would see Bentley Gray get off to the early race lead although it would be not without challenge as Cedric Gauvreau would come up from the sixth position and take the lead in the closing laps to get another win at Mohawk. Then that would leave just one race left on the night of the Famous A's Dispensary Pro Stock 20 lap event and would see Roch Aubin get the lead off the start of the race. Although Zack Daniels would charge from the 8th starting spot and get the lead around the halfway mark of the event and capture the checkered flag for the second week in a row. The track will be back in action Wednesday, July 12th with the Canadian Big Block Series along with the 358 Modifieds, and the Sportsman Modified. Gallery

Josh Jock (03) goes flying through the air as he and Mark Fewster would get together off the restart of heat 1 in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified. It would be round #6 of racing from the Airborne Speedway and it would be the Independence Weekend Spectacular presented by Riley Ford with the four main divisions in action the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, Hartson Total Opening Renegades, Taylor Rental Street Stocks, and the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified. The first heat race would start off with a bang with Mark Fewster and Josh Jock getting together and coming to the green off a restart in the first heat of the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified. The other heat races on the night would be hotly contested with a couple of photo finishes with Tyler Irwin and Billy Thwaits in the third heat of the Renegades. Then it would be onto the features for the night and the first out of the box would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for there 25 lap event and it would see all 25 laps go green to checkered as Jonathan Toohill would get the win after leading all of the laps. Although the win would not come easy as he would have Chris Cayea all over him for most of the race just couldn't get around him and Craig Wholey would round out the top 3. Next up would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and as they were under the pace laps mother nature would open up and the rain would knock out the rest of the night's racing. The track will be back in action next Saturday night July 8th for another night of weekly racing and the 358 Modifieds will be in action as well. Gallery
