The 1955 Chevy Bel-Air is all shined up and on display with the hood up so everyone can see the engine work. The Ellenburg Center Fire Department would hold there 3rd Annual Car Show to benefit the Department. There would be a great turn out of cars with 55 showing up. There would also be a great turn for the community to come and see the cars and support the station. The Ellenburg Center Fire Department would like to thank everyone that participated and plans are already underway for the 2014 edition. Gallery

Huntingdon Truck/Tractor Pull August 10 2013

Irving Lyman and his Allis-Chalmers 7045 carries the front wheels down the track to a pull of 340 feet to win the 11,500 stock class. The Huntingdon Fair would have the Adirondack Truck/Tractor Pullers back for the first time in four years. They would put on a great show for the local pullers from Street Trucks, Stock Tractors, Altered Stock Tractors, and 4x4 Tractors. The Adirondack sled would start pulling in the earlier afternoon and pull till late at night. The would pull just over 110 hooks on the day to a roaring crowd. The Adirondack Truck/Tractor Pullers are looking forward to making a return trip next year. Gallery

CP Dream II and Charles Pellitier carry the front wheels down the track from about mid-track on. The ASTTQ the premier truck and tractor pulling series in Canada would make there annual stop at the Huntingdon Fair. There would be a packed crowd to watch the best pullers across Canada in action. They would bring in the Super Semis, Mini Mods, Modified Trucks, Two Wheel Drive Trucks, and the Modified Tractors. They would bring in around 50 pullers to show their talents and there would be some that would break expensive parts on the very tacky track. The ASTTQ will be sure to come back next year. Gallery

Irving Mauran (Westport) and Logan Runn win the sixth race in a photo finish over Causeway Giant with Scott Renz (Bloomsburg, PA) in the Leo LaPage Memorial. It would be the last of three days of racing at the Franklin County Fair. There would be 8 races on the card with three of them being memorial races. There would be another good crowd in attendance. Andy Gardner would be named the driver of the week for his stellar performance over the three days. Gallery

Andy Garner (Constable) aboard the 4 of Isabelle's Bliss takes the win in Race 2 of the 2-year-old pacers over Kevin Gale (Moria) and On the Rise (5) coming down the stretch. The New York County Fair Racing Series would return to the Franklin County Fair for their second day of three days of racing. It would be another full card of racing with 11 races on the day. Many of the races would come right down to the wire. There would be a good crowd on hand to watch the racing. Gallery

Doug Danger takes his motorcycle through the wall of fire. It would be the KSR Night of Fire and Destruction at the Franklin County Fair as the thrill show made there return to the fair. It would start with some precision driving skills and then we would move into Doug Danger tricks with the motorcycle and he would end his portion taking his motorcycle through the wall of fire. Then you would have crash Morneau doing his crazy stunts with the wall of steel and then the human explosion where he set himself on fire. The night would end with a special treat as they would have Eddie Como and his Anger Management monster truck do a freestyle run to end the night.Gallery

Jonathan Myers in his 2009 Chevy Silverado sends smoke skyward in the 2.6 Cheater Trucks and finishes the top 3 at around 300 feet. The Franklin County Fair would try something new this year and have their street truck and antique tractor pull on a separate night and they would get around 100 entries in fifteen classes. There would be a good crowd in attendance for a first-time event and does show promise for next year. Gallery

Amanda Ashline (5) hits Rachel Guyton (15) with the back end of her car hard into the front of Rachel Guyton's car and rides up onto the hood of the car. It would be time for the annual demolition derby at the Franklin County Fair in Malone. There would be a 100 cars divided up into 8 heats from 4 cylinders up to the mighty 8 cylinders along with the girl's heat and the popular truck heat. The eventual winner would be Joey Foster from Potsdam. There would be plenty of crowd-pleasing moments to keep the crowd there from start to finish. Gallery

Chad Overton and Grandpa's Truck stand it straight up as he starts dogging in just past the 250-foot mark. The Adirondack Truck/Tractor Pullers make their annual stop at the Franklin County Fair in Malone, NY for the truck and tractor pull. There would be around 120 hooks divided up into 21 classes. There would be a good size crowd in attendance in mist of the rain that would hold the show up a couple of times. There would definitely be some crowd-pleasing moments throughout the night. Gallery

Red Dog Too and Chris Bulriss carries the front wheels down the track in the Super Farm Tractor class. The Adirondack Tractor Pullers would have there annually Tractor Pull at the Franklin County Field Days in Highgate. There would be around 100 hooks in over 23 classes. It would be the normal all-day affair in front of a packed house. Gallery
