It would not start off good for the host Cardinals as they would give up two goals in the first period and trail 2-0. In the second period, both offenses would come alive as the Cobbers would score twice and the Cardinals would get three goals two from Cole Stallard and another from Jesse Neher to make it 4-3 Cobbers after two. In the third period, both defenses would step and there would be no scoring as the Cardinals fall 4-3. In the losing effort, Brady Rouleau would stop 16 as the Cardinals fall to 3-3 on the season. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Trinity Bantams in the finals of the 14th annual Cardinal Classic at the Ronald B. Stafford Arena. The Cardinal would control the game from the drop of puck and would have a 2-0 lead after the first period before they exploded for five goals in the second period and then added a couple more in the third period for the convincing 9-0 win. Plattsburgh State's Patrick Jobb (9) put the quick wrister right on the net from right in front of the net on Trinity goaltender Wesley Vesprini (30) as the Cardinals would outshoot the Bantams 70-23.
