It would not start off good for the host Cardinals as they would give up two goals in the first period and trail 2-0. In the second period, both offenses would come alive as the Cobbers would score twice and the Cardinals would get three goals two from Cole Stallard and another from Jesse Neher to make it 4-3 Cobbers after two. In the third period, both defenses would step and there would be no scoring as the Cardinals fall 4-3. In the losing effort, Brady Rouleau would stop 16 as the Cardinals fall to 3-3 on the season. Plattsburgh State's Paul Puglisi (5) shot on net slices right by the St. John's defender on the way to the net. The game would turn into a shootout as the Cardinals would get the 7-4 win. The two teams would score early and often in the first period combining for 5 goals and the Cardinals would trail 3-2 on goals from Cody Adams and Dylan Adams. In the 2nd period, the Cardinals would get three unanswered goals to lead 5-3 on goals from Eric Satin, Vick Schlueter, and Patrick Jobbs. The #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals were upset by Morrisville State 3-2 for the home opener of the 2010-2011 hockey seasons. The downfall for the Cardinals would be that they had a hard time staying out of the penalty box and the Mustangs capitalized with two power-play goals (2-8 on the night). Plattsburgh State would fall short in their effort to get back to the National Championship 3-2. Norwich would get on the board first just over five minutes into the first period. The score would remain 1-0 until the thirteen-minute mark of the second period when the Cardinals Andrew Willock tied the game at 1. Norwich would take the 2-1 lead into the final period when they scored in the final minute of the second period. Norwich would extend there lead to 3-1 eight minutes into the third. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals returned to the Stafford Ice Arena to take on SUNYAC opponent Morrisville State Mustangs in a game that would be tight till the 3rd period. When the Cardinals exploded for 3 goals to secure 4-1 win. The Cardinals would be helped by stellar goaltending by Josh Leis (31) as seen with this pad save at point-blank range. Gallery

The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Trinity Bantams in the finals of the 14th annual Cardinal Classic at the Ronald B. Stafford Arena. The Cardinal would control the game from the drop of puck and would have a 2-0 lead after the first period before they exploded for five goals in the second period and then added a couple more in the third period for the convincing 9-0 win. Plattsburgh State's Patrick Jobb (9) put the quick wrister right on the net from right in front of the net on Trinity goaltender Wesley Vesprini (30) as the Cardinals would outshoot the Bantams 70-23. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals opened up the Cardinal Classic with a very impressive 8-1 victory over the Castleton State Spartans. The Cardinals would take the quick 1-0 lead just 54 seconds into the game and would not look back. They would take a 4-0 lead into the final period before doubling there score in the final period for the 8-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Ian Delong (10) would slide it under Castleton State's goaltender Justin Roethlingshoefer (35) for his fifth goal on the season and would also help with two assists. Gallery
