Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Essex County Fair Tractor Pull Westport, NY August 14th 2011

Ed Stewart and the Warm & Fuzzy with a straight run down the track to take the win the Super Farm/Limited Pro class. The annual tractor pull at the Essex County Fair would mark the end of the 2011 tour on the Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers season. There would be 50 entries that would be split up throughout the 15 different classes that would be run. It was definitely a great show that got done just before sundown. Gallery

Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Essex County Fair Truck Pull Westport, NY August 12th 2011

Dwayne Newans and his Wild Thing would wrap up the championship in the 6,200lb Pro Stock 4x4 Trucks B to give him his first championship in many seasons with the Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers Association. The birthplace of the Street Legal Truck Pull for the Adirondack Pullers would make its annual return to the Essex County Fair in Westport, NY there would be around 50 entries that would be split up into 11 different classes range from pure stock trucks all the way up to Pro Stock 4x4 purpose built pulling trucks. Tom Brassard would make a very smooth run down the track in his 2009 Dodge Ram during the 5,500lb Street Legal Trucks class. Gallery

Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Franklin County Fair Truck & Tractor Pull Malone, NY August 9th 2011

Jonathan Babbie and his Ford 7610 would take it out the backdoor and win the 6,500lb Farm Stock Tractors. The annual truck and tractor pull at the Franklin County in Malone was scheduled for 32 classes would be cut short about halfway through as the rain would start coming and there was no let-up and the track was a complete wash. Barb Geurin and her 2010 Toyota Tundra would take down the far side of the track during the 6,500lb Pure Stock Truck classes for a top three. Gallery

Franklin County Fair Demolition Derby Malone, NY August 8th 2011

000) driven by Jamie Dustin smashes into the passenger's door of Corey Helm (06). It was the annual return of the smack'em up, bang'em up, crash'em up do it all over again as the demolition derby made its return. There be around 90 cars spread out over seven heats. Gallery

Champlain Valley Baseball League Championship: Lyon Mountain Miners Vs Plattsburgh Cardinals August 7th 2011

Plattsburgh Cardinals Craig Bujold leans back to catch the pop up in foul ground behind the plate. The Cardinals would jump out to an early 5-0 lead after the first two innings that they would never give up. They would get one in the first inning and then put up a four-spot in the second inning. The Miners would chip away at the lead by getting two in the third and fourth inning. The score would remain that until the seventh when the Cardinals would get an insurance run on a sacrifice fly tp take the lead 6-4. The Cardinals would hold that lead for the rest of the game and take game 1 of the best of three series. They will look to close out the championship next weekend at Bailey Avenue.

Empire Football League Week 5: Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Glenns Falls Green Jackets August 6th 2011

Plattsburgh North Stars Zack Blocker (7) shoves off the Glenns Falls Green Jacket defender and turns it up field for a big gain. The Plattsburgh North Stars would get the convincing victory over a long time rival the Glenns Falls Green Jackets with a 22-0 win and also win back the Mayor's Cup. The North Stars would strike for two quick touchdowns in the first quarter and take a 14-0 lead on a Trevor St. Clair and Zack Blocker scores. The score would remain that until midway through the fourth quarter when Eilsa Park would punch a touchdown on the goal line and convert a two-pointer on a bad snap of the extra point. Gallery

Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Franklin County Field Days Tractor Pull Highgate, VT July 30th 2011

Mike Domica wins the crowd favorite the 22,000lb 4x4 Tractors. There would be around 100 entries that would take part in the tractor pull at the Franklin County Field Days from Farm Stock, Altered Stock, Pro Stock, and the crowd favors the 4x4 tractors. Gallery

Chad Lapointe and his Chevy put on an amazing smoke show during his run in the 2.6 cheater class. There would be around 150 entries divided up into the 10 different classes in front of an always packed crowd for the truck pull at the Franklin County Field Days. Gallery

Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Clinton County Fair Truck and Tractor Pull Plattsburgh, NY July 23rd 2011

Jeremy Van Pelet and the Show Time would make they're the first appearance with the Adirondack Tractor Pullers and made a very good run in the Super Farm/Limited Pro-Class taking the 4th place. The annual stop for the Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers at the Clinton County would see around a 100 entries divided up into 19 classes battle it out on the track in front of a packed crowd until the late hours of the evening. Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Clinton County Fair Street Truck Pull Plattsburgh, NY July 22nd 2011

Walter Cheney and the 2008 Nissan Titan would take the win the 5,500lb Pure Stock Truck class on a picture-perfect run. It was the annual return of the Street Legal Truck Pull to Clinton County. There would be a great competition between the seven different classes with around 50 entries and a couple of classes that would be settle by under five feet. Gallery
