It would be opening night of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and the Saranac Chiefs would host the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers at Amer-can North. The opening goal of the game would come to the Chiefs Austin Carpenter at the 5:39 mark of the first period for the 1-0 lead. In the second part of the period, the Lakers would strike two goals from Rhett Darrah and Dustin Patterson for a 2-1 game at the end of the period. In the second period, the tables would flip and the Chiefs would score twice while the Lakers would get one. The goal scores would be Dylan Eagleson and Bailey Marsh for the Chiefs and Ben Munn for the Lakers and game would be tied at three headed to the third. In the third period, the Lakers offense would come alive and strike for four goals from Tyler Hinckley (twice), Hunter Walmont and Dylan Amell. While the Chiefs would get a lone goal from Austin Carpenter as the Lakers would get the 7-4 victory. In the winning effort, Tyler Hinchley would score twice and Dylan Amell would have 5 points on the night for the Lakers, while Erick Frechette would have 51 saves on the night. Plattsburgh's Christina Magoline (11) and Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Annabelle Bomnbard-Schmidt (13) battle for the puck along the endboards. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host Saranac Lake/Lake Placid in the Upstate New York Girls Hockey League action. It would be game at would pit two evenly matched teams. As there would be no goals through the first period. The first goal of the game would eventually come at the 5:18 mark of the second period when Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Dariana Patterson would score to make it 1-0. That would almost be the lone goal of the game until Plattsburgh's McKenzie Brown would score with just over three minutes left in the game to tie it at one. The teams would end up in the overtime and in that overtime, Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Rylee Preston would get the winner on the scramble in front halfway through the game to give the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, Saranac Lake/Lake Placid would go to 1-0-1 while the Plattsburgh Hornets fall to 5-1 on the season. Gallery

Saranac Lake's Ben Munn (2) flies into the endzone over Ausable Valley's defender for the score It would be a matchup between the Saranac Lake Red Storm and the Ausable Valley Patriots for the Section VII Class C Championship. The Patriots would strike first and quick as they would Luis Perez on 73 yard pass just 20 seconds into the game for the 8-0 lead. The Red Storm would strike right back in under a minute on a 1 yard run by Rhett Darrah to make it 8-6 2 minutes into the game. Then with 39 seconds left in the first quarter the Red Storm would score on a 84 yard pass to Jeffrey Lavair to make it 12-8 Red Storm. The Patriots would strike right back 19 seconds into the second quarter on 69 yard pass to Nate Doner to make it 14-12. Then five minutes into the quarter the Red Storm would regain the lead at 18-14 on a 28 yard pass to Jeffrey Lavair. Although Patriots would answer right back in thirty seconds on a 54 yard pass to Eli Douglas to make it 20-18 at the half. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Red Storm would regain the lead at 24-20 on a 20 yard pass to Jeffrey Lavair. Then four minutes into the fourth quarter the Red Storm would extend there lead to 31-20 on a one yard run by Ben Munn. Although the Patriots would make a game of down the stretch as as they would hit Eli Douglas on a 45 yard pass with 6 minutes left to make it 31-26. From there though the Saranac Red Storm would hold on for the Section VII Class C title and advance to the New York State Class C Playoffs and take on the Gouvenour Wildcats. Gallery

It would be the Saranac Chiefs traveling to Saranac Lake and taking on the Red Storm in the New York State Class C Semi-finals. The Red Storms would get the first score of the game on a 78 yard pass to Sam Donaldson at the 7:05 mark of the first quarter for the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there for the rest of the first half as it would be marred by turnovers. The Red Storm would extent the lead to 14-0 on the 1 yard run by Logan Brown at the 6:15 mark of the third quarter. Then just 50 seconds into the fourth quarter the Red Storm would make it 21-0 on a 15 yard run by Rhett Darrah. The Chiefs would get on the board in the final two minutes on a 13 yard quarterback keeper by Garett Adolfo to make it 21-7. Although with the win by the Saranac Lake Red Storm they go to 5-3 and advance to the New York State Section VII Class C Championship and play the Ausable Valley Patriots as the season comes to end for the Saranac Chiefs at 3-5. Plattsburgh's Michael Graves battles with the Red Storms face off man for the loose ball on the face off. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Saranac Lake Placid Red Storm in the Section X Crossover game. This would be the third meeting between these teams and firmly would show as the Hornets would have a slim 3-1 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Hornets would find there footing and take a 6-1 lead into the intermission. In the second half the Red Storm would do there best to make a game of it losing the half 5-4 although the Hornets were just to much to early winning the game 11-5. In the winning effort Michael Graves would let the way with the hat trick as the Hornets season comes to an end at 4-13. Gallery

The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Saranac Lake Placid Red Storm in Section X Boys Lacrosse. The teams would traded goals in the first quarter and be tied at 2. In the second quarter the Horners would win the quarter 2-1 and have a 5-3 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the second half the Hornets defense would clap down and not allow a goal and the Hornets would get four goals for the 9-3 victory. In the winning effort the Hornets would get there first ever Section X win and go to 2-9 on the season. Gallery
