The Saranac Chiefs would take the 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a Johnny Devins rushing touchdown. Then in the second quarter, the Peru Indians offense would start to click as they would get two scores to take the 14-6 lead into the break. Then when the teams came back for the second half they would pick up where they left off getting another score in the third to make it 20-6. Then in the fourth quarter they would get one more to put it away and secure the 26-6 victory. With the win, the Peru Indians go to 1-6 while the Saranac Chiefs fall to 0-7. Gallery

The Hornets would take the 6-0 lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. The score would stay there till the third quarter when the Hornets would get a second rushing touchdown to make it 12-0. Then later in the third quarter, the Chiefs would get on the board on a Hunter Church touchdown to make it 12-6. Then with about four minutes left in the game Caiden Goodman would catch a tipped ball in the end zone and tie the game up at 12. Then after a very short punt by the Hornets, the Chiefs would get the ball back and George Miller would take it up the middle for the winning touchdown with under a minute for the 20-12 victory. In the winning effort, the Chiefs would improve there record 2-4 while the Hornets fall to 0-6 on the season. Gallery

Saranac's Hunter Church (33) stretches out for the touchdown to get the Chiefs on the board. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in the first-ever Saranac River Bowl. The Hornets would take the 6-0 lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. The score would stay there till the third quarter when the Hornets would get a second rushing touchdown to make it 12-0. Then later in the third quarter the Chiefs would get on the board on a Hunter Church touchdown to make it 12-6. The Saranac Chiefs would travel down to Clintonville and take on the AU Sable Valley Patriots in week 5 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference football season. The Saranac Chiefs would take the 7-0 at 7:07 of the first quarter on Dylan Clay's block punt recovered in the endzone for the touchdown. Then just about two minutes later the Chiefs would extend the lead to 14-0 on Zack Martin's 4 yard run. Then three minutes into the second quarter Zack Martin would score again 1 yard out and take the 22-0 lead headed into the half. Then in the third quarter Caiden Goodman would score on the 15 yard reception to make it 29-0 at 9:03 of third. Then in the closing seconds of the third Hunter Church would score from three yards out to make it 36-0. Then in the opening minute of the fourth quarter Skinadar would put the Patriots on the board with the 6 yard touchdown reception to make it 36-7. Then with under 6 minutes left in the game Hunter Church would get his second touchdown of the night on a 14 yard run to make it 43-7. From there on the Chiefs would hold on for the 43-7 victory. In the winning effort, Zack Martin would run for 123 yards and 2 scores as the Chiefs get there first win of the season and go to 1-4 on the season while the Patriots fall to 1-4 on the season. There would be a total of nine teams at the tournament. The nine teams at the tournament would be Chateaugay, Saranac, Lake Placid, Ogdensburg, Plattsburgh, Northern Adirondack, Au Sable Valley, and Peru. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would go 13-3 only losing single games Peru, Saranac, and Ogdensburg. With the 13-3 record, the Bulldogs would finish second on the day behind the winners the Peru Indians. Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 2 Saranac Chiefs Vs Moriah Vikings September 13 2014

Saranac's Caiden Goodman (2) would take it around the edge and open field for a big gain. The Moriah Vikings would travel up to Saranac and take on the Chiefs in Champlain Valley Football action. The Vikings would jump out to a quick 21-0 lead after the first quarter with some help from some untimely turnovers from the Chiefs. In the second quarter it would be more of the same as the Vikings would get three more to make it 33-0 at the half. In the second half, the Chiefs would actually step up the defense and win the half 22-7. Their scores would come from Dillan Clay, Caiden Goodman, and George Miller. The final score would end up being Vikings 40 and Chiefs 22 as the Chiefs fall to 0-2 and Vikings go to 2-0 on the season. Gallery
