In a couple of great games the Cardinals would split the doubleheader with the Golden Eagles. They would come up just a little short in-game as they fell 2-1. The Cardinals would split the doubleheader against the Blue Devils losing game 8-7 and coming back to win the nightcap 6-5. The Cardinals would score five in the 9th inning of game 1 to come up just short, Then in the second game, they would jump out to an early 3-0 lead and then have to hold on late to get the 6-5 victory. In a doubleheader that turned into a slugfest, the Cardinals would split on the day losing the 1st game 14-9 came back though in the 2nd game to get the 15-9 win. The score would remain 1-0 until the thirteen-minute mark of the second period when the Cardinals Andrew Willock tied the game at 1. Norwich would take the 2-1 lead into the final period when they scored in the final minute of the second period. Norwich would extend there lead to 3-1 eight minutes into the third. Mike Kavanagh would score for the Cardinals to make it 3-2 with six minutes setting up an exciting finish. Although the Cardinals would fall short 3-2 and their season would come to end for the Cardinals in the Final Four with a record of 19-6-4.Gallery
