The Beekmantown Eagles pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2019 Section VII Class B champions. It would be a battle of crosstown rivals as the Beekmantown Eagles matchup with the Plattsburgh Hornets in the Section VII Class B Championships. The Hornets would take the 7-0 lead 4 minutes into the game on a 4 yard run by Ian Detuello. The Eagles would fight back to tie the game up at 7 on nine yard run by Kaden Myers two minutes into the second quarter. The Eagles would take the 14-7 lead 3 minutes into the third quarter on Kaden Myers 49 yard run. The Hornets would tie the game back up at 14 on a 54 yard pass to Ian Detulleo at the six minute mark of the third quarter. The Eagles would regain the lead at 21-13 as Kaden Myers would score for the third time on six yard run with three minutes left in the third quarter. The Hornets would answer right back with a nine yard run by Ian Detuello for his third score of the game at 21-19 with a minute left in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter though the Eagles would put the game away with two scores by Dave Dion and Kaden Myers to secure the 34-19. In the winning effort the Beekmantown Eagles go to 6-2 and have a matchup with the Potsdam Sandstoners in the New York State High School Class B Playoffs while the Hornets season comes to end at 4-5. Plattsburgh's Ian Detuello (2) fends off Peru's Gavin Padron (30) with the stiff arm as he balances down the sidelines. It would be the semi-finals of the New York State Section VII Class B and the #3 Plattsburgh Hotnets travel to the #2 Peru Indians. The Indians would take the 3-0 lead on the first drive of the game with a 24 yard yard field goal by Keegan Smith. The game would stay there till 2:30 left in the half when the Indians would add another field goal from Keegan Smith this time 32 yards for the 6-0 lead as they head to the break. When the teams came out for the second it would be the tail of two halves as the Hornets offense would open up with a 27 yard pass touchdown to Ian Detuelleo to give the Hornets the 7-6 lead five minutes into the half. Then just 2:30 minutes later the Hornets would strike again on the ten yard run by Javon Carpenter for the 14-6 lead. From there on the defenses would be a wall and there would be no scoring. With that be said the Plattsburgh Hornets would get the 14-6 over the Peru Indians and both teams go to 4-4 on the season while the Hornets head to the sectional championship against the Beekmantown Eagles. Plattsburgh's Dylan Garrant (21) with the interception on the ball that was slightly overthrown to Saranac's Garrett Adolpho. It wouldn't just be the last week of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference regular season but the last game and it would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and Saranac Chiefs. Defense would be the name of the game in the first half as neither team would be able to get the ball in endzone. The Hornets would eventual get on the board and take the 7-0 lead on the Javon Carpenter 30 yard pass 3:30 into the third quarter. The Hornets would extent there lead to 14-0 on the Dylan Garranrt 54 yard pass one minute into the fourth quarter. The Chiefs would cut the lead in half with just under five minutes left in the fourth on the seven yard pass to Justin Bedard to make 14-6. That would be all the scoring as the Hornets would hold onto the win and go to 3-4 on the season while the Chiefs fall to 3-4. The playoffs start next week and the Plattsburgh Hornets will travel to Peru for the Indians in the Class B Semifinals while the Chiefs will travel to Saranac Lake and play Red Storm.Gallery.

Plattsburgh's Dylan Garrant (21) gets a hand on the ball to break up the pass intended for Ticonderoga's Connor Yaw. It would be week 6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and it would feature the Ticonderoga Sentinels at the Plattsburh Hornets. It would take sometime for the scoring to happen as the defenses were up to the challenge. Then Hornets would end up taking the 7-0 lead on the 17 yard touchdown pass to Dylan Garrant as the second quarter began. That is where the score would remain through the first half and until the 3:25 of the third quarter when the Hornets extend there lead to 14-0 on Javon Carpenters ten yard run. The Hornets would take control of the game with just under 4 minutes left in third quarter when Myles King would catch the pass at the goal line for the 20-0 lead. The Sentinels would get on the board 1:30 into the fourth quarter on Monty Benedict touchdown to make it 20-7 down the stretch. Although the Hornets would put the game away down the stretch on the 2 yard pass to Benjamin Bourdeau and secure the 27-7 win. Beekmantown's Nate Finley (3) takes it around the corner and stretches out for the first touchdown at the new field. It would be week 5 of the champlain valley athletic conference and would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets at the Beekmantown Eagles at the all new Beekmantown Sports Complex. The game would take sometime to get going and it the Eagles would get on the board with the quarterback keeper for a 7 yard run by Nate Finley to make it 6-0. That would be the only scoring all the way til there was four minutes left in third quarter when Matt Dion would scoop up a fumble and take it 65 yards for the score. From there to the end the defense would clap down and the and the Eagles would get the 13-0 win. With the win the Eagles go to 4-1 and take the lead in the division while the Hornets fall to 1-4 on the season. Gallery.

Peru's Austin Carpenter (3) with the crunching hit on Plattsburgh's Kyle LaValley to break up the pass. It would be week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. As the Peru Indians would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in there first ever game under the Friday Night Lights. The game would start off good for Peru as they would get a safety 1:40 into the game for the 2-0 lead. Then about half through the first quarter the Indians strike with a 9 yard pass to Ian Joy for the 9-0 lead. That is where the game would stay till the third quarter as there would be no scoring as the defenses stepped up. Just under 5 minutes into the third quarter the Indians would score on a 6 yard run by Zach O'Connell and extend there lead to 16-0. Although the Hornets wouldn't be out done as they would take the kickoff 83 yards for the Ian Detulleo score and make it a 16-6 game. Then just a minute after that the Indians would extend there lead to 23-6 on the Austin Carpenter 73 yard catch run. Although the Hornets wouldn't go quietly as Foster Ovios would score on a 13 yard pass to make it 23-14 with just over ten minutes left in the game. Peru's Austin Carpenter(5) with the pass breakup on Plattsburgh's Zack Bieber (88) to save the touchdown. It would be week 3 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference between cross town rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Indians. It would be a hard hitting game from the start and it would take til the second quarter for the first score of the game. In that first score the Peru Indians would take the 7-0 lead on the Kasen Brennan 6 yard score at the 6:25. Although the Hornets would answer back on a 30 yard pass to Tyler Phillips to tie the game at seven. Then in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would add a 30 yard field goal from Liam Rascoe for the 10-7 lead at intermission. At the 8:42 mark of the third quarter the Hornets would extend there lead to 17-7 on the Tyler Phillips score. Although the Indians would keep fighting and get a late score from Alex Palmer. Although it would not be enough as the Hornets get the 17-13 victory. With the win the Hornets go to 3-0 as they head to Moriah next week. While the Peru Indians fall to 2-1 and head to Beekmentown next weekend. Gallery.

It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and we would have the Ausable Valley Patriots traveling to the Plattsburghs Hornets. It would be home opener for the Hornets The Hornets would get the opening score of the game 3:39 in on a Ian Detuello 1 yard run for the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there til 12 seconds into second quarter when Jayvon Carpenter would break out a 30 yard run for the 14-0 lead. The Patriots would cut the lead in half on Nate Doner's 7 yard with 3 minutes left in the half to make it 14-7. Although the Hornets would march down the feild and Ian Detuello would score again on a 3 yard pass to make it 21-7 to end the half. When the teams came back for the second half the defenses would step up and there would be no scoring. So the Hornets would get the 21-7 victory and go to 1-1 while the Patriots fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery.

Plattsburgh's Joey Jamison (24) with the save leg save on the bounce shot attempt. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Saranac Lake Placid Red Storm in the Section X Crossover game. This would be the third meeting between these teams and firmly would show as the Hornets would have a slim 3-1 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Hornets would find there footing and take a 6-1 lead into the intermission. In the second half the Red Storm would do there best to make a game of it losing the half 5-4 although the Hornets were just to much to early winning the game 11-5. In the winning effort Michael Graves would let the way with the hat trick as the Hornets season comes to an end at 4-13. Gallery
