It wouldn't just be the last week of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference regular season but the last game and it would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and Saranac Chiefs. Defense would be the name of the game in the first half as neither team would be able to get the ball in endzone. The Hornets would eventual get on the board and take the 7-0 lead on the Javon Carpenter 30 yard pass 3:30 into the third quarter. The Hornets would extent there lead to 14-0 on the Dylan Garranrt 54 yard pass one minute into the fourth quarter. The Chiefs would cut the lead in half with just under five minutes left in the fourth on the seven yard pass to Justin Bedard to make 14-6. That would be all the scoring as the Hornets would hold onto the win and go to 3-4 on the season while the Chiefs fall to 3-4. The playoffs start next week and the Plattsburgh Hornets will travel to Peru for the Indians in the Class B Semifinals while the Chiefs will travel to Saranac Lake and play Red Storm.Gallery.
