From there on there would be no scoring in the third period and the Beekmantown Eagles would get the 4-0 victory. Plattsburghs Ethan Kay hits a slapshot from the point to score the game-tying goal for the Hornets, as the home team rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat Kenmore East 4-2. The Plattsburgh High School boys hockey team capitalized on power-play opportunities Saturday to earn its first win of the season, victorious by a score of 4-2 over Kenmore East at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. The Hornets faced an uphill battle after falling behind 2-0 in the first period despite outshooting the Bulldogs 13-9, but they took advantage of their opportunities to pull it back. Late in the second period, Kenmore Easts Bryan Crispin and Tyler Laporta were called for holding and slashing, respectively, to give Plattsburgh a minute-long 5-on-3 opportunity, and it only took 18 seconds for defenseman Ethan Vaughn to find the back of the net. Exactly 30 seconds after Vaughn scored the first goal of the season for the Hornets, Ethan Kay took advantage of the continuation of the powerplay with a slapshot from the point, tying the game 2-2 in the final minute of the second period. Plattsburgh continued that strong play in the third period, outshooting the Bulldogs 14-6 in the final 15 minutes and scoring twice on three power-play opportunities to earn the 4-2 win. Gallery

Beekmantown and Kenmore East would get into a fight near the end of the game in front of the Kenmore East net. It would be a non-league matchup where east meets west. As the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Kenmore East Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would strike first in the last two minutes of the first period for the 1-0 lead. In the second period, the Bulldogs would get two more goals to extend the lead to 3-0. In the third period, the teams would trade goals. Although it would not be enough as the Kenmore East Bulldogs would hold on for the 4-1 victory. In the losing effort, the Beekmantown Eagles fall to 0-1-1 on the season. Gallery.
