Plattsburgh's Jason Moore (4) grabs the jersey of the Beekmantown running back and drags him to the ground for the tackle. It would be week 3 of the CVAC football season and the match up would feature a pair of winless teams as the Plattsburgh Hornets and Beekmantown Eagles would enter at 0-2. The Eagles would take the 6-0 lead on a short run for the score. Then in the second quarter, they would pull away as they would score twice including a two-point conversation to take a 21-0 lead into the break. When the teams returned for the second half the Hornets would make some adjustments as the two teams would play even ball. The Hornets would get on the board midway through the fourth on Quaran run to make it 21-6. The hornets would have some other chances but were unable to capitalize on them and the Eagles would hold on for the 21-6 victory. With the win, the Eagles go to 1-2 while the Hornets fall to 0-3 on the season. Gallery

It would be the opening week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would feature the Saranac Chiefs and Ticonderoga Sentinels. It would be a game that the Sentinels would be in control from start to finish. The Sentinels would have the 42-0 lead at the half. In the second half, the Sentinels would cruise and win the half 19-6 as the Chiefs would get a late score to avoid the shutout as the Sentinels would get the 61-6 victory. The #1 Peru Indians would meet up with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles in New York State Section 7 Championship at Ausable Valley. The Eagles would strike first on a Justin Stevens touchdown run in the first quarter to make it 7-0. In the second quarter, Eagles Matt Villa would return the interception for the score to make it 14-0. Later in the quarter, the Indians would get on the board to make it 14-7 as they head to the half. In the third quarter, the teams would trade scores with Justin Stevens run to make it 21-7 Eagles headed to the fourth quarter the Indians would score twice in the quarter including Buddy Altizer game-winner with 12 seconds to give the Indians the 28-21 victory. In the winning effort, the Peru Indians would go to 9-0 and advance to the New York State Class B Playoffs against Malone. The #1 Peru Indians would meet up with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles in New York State Section 7 Championship at Ausable Valley. The Red Storm would make easy work of the Patriots in the first half and take a 35-7 lead into the locker room. In the second half, the Patriots would try there best to make a game of it but the deficit would be too big to overcome they would win the half at 16-7 but would fall 42-23. With the win, the Red Storm head into the New York State Class C Playoffs against Ogdensburg while the Patriots season comes to an end at 2-7. Gallery

The #2 Saranac Chiefs would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class C Semi-finals. These two evenly matched teams would be scoreless until the second quarter when Patriots Jimmy Kelly would score to make it 7-0 Patriots. The game would stay there until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter when Chiefs Mason Martin would score and they would get the two point conversation and take a 8-7 lead. Then on the ensuing Patriots drive two questionable calls would lead to the Patriots good field position and Jimmy Kelly would score from the one yard line with 25 seconds left on the clock to give the Patriots 14-8 victory. In the winning effort the Patriots advance to next weeks championship game against Saranac Lake Chiefs while the Saranac Chiefs season comes to end at 2-6. Gallery
