Beekmantown's Justin Stevens (22) runs over the defender for the first down on his way to setting the Section 7 Football single-season rushing total at 1,850 yards. The #1 Peru Indians would meet up with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles in New York State Section 7 Championship at Ausable Valley. The Eagles would strike first on a Justin Stevens touchdown run in the first quarter to make it 7-0. In the second quarter, Eagles Matt Villa would return the interception for the score to make it 14-0. Later in the quarter, the Indians would get on the board to make it 14-7 as they head to the half. In the third quarter, the teams would trade scores with Justin Stevens run to make it 21-7 Eagles headed to the fourth quarter the Indians would score twice in the quarter including Buddy Altizer game-winner with 12 seconds to give the Indians the 28-21 victory. In the winning effort, the Peru Indians would go to 9-0 and advance to the New York State Class B Playoffs against Malone.
