We would have a three way battle up front for the 358 Modified victory between Chris Raabbe (01), Tim Fuller (19) and Lance Willix (19) with Chris Raabe getting the win for his fifth memorial cup win. It would be the third week of racing from the Mohawk International Raceway and it would be the annual memorial cup presented by Frenchie's Chevy with the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modified, Pro Stock, Limited Sportsman Modified, and the 4 Cylinders with 95 cars in the pits. After the heat race was done on the night the first main of the evening would be the 4 Cylinders and there would be a battle up front for a few laps between Francis White and Curtis Smith although Francis White would slowly pull away for the win. Then next up would be the Sportsman Modified 35-lap feature and it would see the first 31 laps go caution free. Then on the late race restart it would be a whos up front with Cedric Gauvreau, Shane Pecore, Nick Heywood, and DJ Gonyo having the first two rows on the restart. There would be a brief battle up front between Gonyo and Gaureau with Gauvreau getting the edge Shane Pecore would try and get the lead with two laps to go but Gauvreau would hold on for the win. Then it would be time for the 40 lap memorial cup race for the 358 Modifieds and it would be a three-horse race for the last 20 laps but o what a race it was between Tim Fuller Chris Raabe and Lance Willix as the three of them would be side by side switching from the top to the bottom of the track and flopping the lead back and forth throughout with the eventual win going to Chris Raabe and in doing so resetting the Mohawk International record with his fifth cup win. Then it would be the Pro Stocks for 20 laps and this would have another great battle up front with the top 5 cars all battling it out but Sid Harmer Jr would be just that much better than the rest as he would get the win over Joel Herne and Marc Lalonde. Then to finish off the night would be the Limited Sportsman Modified and it would see the kid Dylan Moore getting his first win in a sportsman over Kevin Foster and Dustin Wood to finish out the top three, Racing will return to the Mohawk Speedway next weekend with all the divisions returning for regur racing plus the slick track enduro. 2023 Airborne Speedway Round #3 Highlight

Felix Roy (91) gets under Mike Mahaney (35) in the closing laps of the 359 Modified feature for the win. It would be the third night of racing from Airborne Speedway for 2023 with 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modified, Renegades, Limited Sportsman Modified, and the Street Stock all in action on the night. Once the heat races would be done on the night it would be onto the features for the evening with the Limited Sportsman Modified first and it would see Nate Leonard make quick of the field to get his first career win. Then it would be onto the 358 Modifieds feature and it would see a great battle up front between Mike Mahaney and Felix Roy with the eventual win going to Felix Roy on a pass with a couple of laps left and Chris Raabe would round out the top three. Then it would be onto the SportsmanModified feature and it would be a race that would take some time to get going as there would be four cautions in the first laps of the race but once it did get going Mike Phinney would get around Beau Reeves for the lead and would not give it up the rest of the night for the win and Reeves and Aubin would round out the top three with the Hard Charger Bucko Braham getting fourth after a 19th place start. Then we would be onto the Renegades for their 25-lap event and Nathaniel Guay would get the early lead at the start of the race. Although he would start falling backward and Zack Daniels would get the lead and hang on for the win over a hard-charging Shawn Duquette and last week's winner Bill Thwaits for the top three. Then the last race of the evening would be the Taylor Rentals Street Stocks for fifteen laps and it would see Josh Blake getting the win but that would not be without challenge from Josh Laporte Jr and Ryan Senecal and that would be Blake's first win. The Airborne Speedway will be back in action next weekend June 3rd with the Sportsman Modified, Renegades, Limited Sportsman Modified, and the Street Stock in action plus the Mohawk Valley Antique racers. It would be the third night of racing from Airborne Speedway for 2023 with 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modified, Renegades, Limited Sportsman Modified, and the Street Stock all in action on the night. It would be a tight battle at the front of the pack in the Pro Stock division as the top five would have the freight train going with Sid Harmer (690) getting the win over Joel Herne (AK47). It would be the third week of racing from the Mohawk International Raceway and it would be the annual memorial cup presented by Frenchie's Chevy with the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modified, Pro Stock, Limited Sportsman Modified, and the 4 Cylinders with 95 cars in the pits. Airborne Speedway Week #1 Highlight

Chris Cayea (18) scores the opening night victory in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified over Gabriel Cyr and Jamy Begor. It would be the opening night of the 2023 season and the kick-off to the 69th season at the Airborne Speedway presented by the A Verdi Storage Containers and there would be five divisions in action on the evening with the Be Cool Heating and Air Conditioning 358 Modifieds, J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, Harson Total Opening Renegades, Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and the Taylor Rental Street Stocks and there would be a total of 111 cars in the pits. Once all the heat races were over it would be onto the main events of the night and the first out of the box would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified it would see Jamy Begor get off to the quick start and take the early lead but there would be a restart midway through the race and it would see Chris Cayea use the high side to advantage and pull away for the win while Gabriel Cyr would beat Begor on the last lap to round out the top three on the night. Then next up would be the return of the 358 Modifieds to the Airborne Speedway with their 30-lap feature which would see Lance Willix get the win in dominating fashion as he would lead all thirty laps for the win. Although he would not be without competition as he would be alongside Chris Raabe for the restart and Raabe would be for a few laps and then Willix would just pull away for the win. There would be a nice battle for second in the closing laps as Chris Raabe and David Herbet would jostle for the position back in fourth but in the end, it would be Raabe second and Hebert third. Then it would be onto the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for there 25 lap feature event and would see a battle between Josh Terry and a guy making his return to the track after a hard mid-season wreck last year keep out the rest of the season and Duquette would get the win using his patterned bottom lane and hugging the grass for the win and Jason Boggett would finish third to round out the top three. Then we would be onto the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and it would see a first-timer getting the win as Mike Arnold would get the win in the fifteen-lap caution-free event. Then to finish off the night it would be the Taylor Rental Street Stocks in their fifteen-lap event with nearly 30 cars on the track. It would take the race a few tries to get going as there would be several cautions in the first few laps of the race but once the dust settled Mat LaValley would come away with the win after a hard battle with Josh LaPorte and Ryan Senecal would round out the top three. Big Block/Small Block Challenge presented by Moore Trucking @ Airborne Speedway August 6th 2022

It would be round fourteenth of the Airborne Speedway and it would be the return of the 358 Modifieds with the big block/small block challenge presented by Moore Trucking with $4,000 going to the winner. First up in the heat races would be the Modifieds in there three heats with wins going to Adam Pierson, Jessey Mueller, and Jeremy Roy. Then next up would be the Taylor Rentals 4 Cylinders with three heats and winners would be Steven Bressette, JJ Laporte, and Caleb Tourville. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for three heats with wins going to Travis Bruno, Mike Wright and Jake Scarbrough. Then next up would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified with there one heat and getting the win would be Scott Fitzgerald. Then to finish off the heats would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades with there two heats and winners would be Nathaniel Guay and Chris Murray. Then it would be onto the main events for the night and first up would be Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders for there 15 lap event and the winner would be Steven Bressette over the Laportes (JJ and Josh). Then next up would be the main event of the night with the Big Block/Small Block Challenge and there 40 lap event and $4,000 to win and when the dust would settle the winner would be Erick Rudolph over Jessey Mueller and Mike Mahanney to finish off the top three. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified 25 lap event and we would have a first time winner on the night as Fire Swamp would capture the flag over Travis Bruno and Dave Rodgers. Then it would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and when the dust settled we would have a first time winner on the night with Bubba McPhee. Then to finish off the night would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades with a 25 lap event would be Nathaniel Guay with his fourth win of the season this time over both of the Terry Brothers as Tylor and Josh round out the top three. It would be the second week of racing at the Mohawk International Raceway and there would be five divisions in action on the night with the 358 Modifieds, Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman Modified, and Novice Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, and Bandits. First up for the heats would be the bandits and the win would go to Gary Sharlow. Then we would have the Novice Sportsman Modified and the win would go to Pryor Stacey. Then there would be two heats for the Pro Stock and the wins would be Bruno Richard and Zack Daniels. Then it would be the Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman Modified for three heats and the winners would be Fire Swamp, Justin Rose, and Dustin Bradley. Then to close out the heat races it would be two for the 358 Modifieds with the wins going to Carey Terrance and Brian MacDonald. Then it would be onto the mains and the first one out of the box would be the Bandits and it would be Gary Sharlow getting his second win of the season. Then we would have the Dirtcar 358 Modifieds and Carey Terrance would take his pole position start for the 30 lap race and just check out on the field for the convincing win. Then we would have the ever-popular Crossroad Tabacco Sportsman Modified for their 25-lap race and it would be a battle between father and son for the win and younger Cedric Gaureau getting the win. Then we would have the Dirtcar Pro Stocks and it would be a battle right down to the end with Kevin Fetterly and Bruno Richard and Richard would get his second straight win on the season. Then we would finish off the night with the Novice Sportsman Modified and that would once again be a back-to-back win as Cameron Reif would get the win. It would be the second week of racing at the Mohawk International Raceway and there would be five divisions in action on the night with the 358 Modifieds, Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman Modified, and Novice Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, and Bandits. Season Opener Mohawk International Raceway May 13th 2022

Eli Gilbert (75) would spin on the final corner and Justin White (1x) would slam on the breaks to avoid him but still would make slight contact with the nose. It would be the start of the 2022 season at the Mohawk International Raceway and they would have all six of their racing divisions the 358 Modifieds, Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Novice Sportsman Modified, Mod Lites, and Bandits. The racing would start off with the Bandits heat and Sharlow would take the wire to wire win. Then we would have the Mod Lites for heat and Jason Premo would get the checkered flag. Then we would have the Novice Sportsman Modified and the old man Dale Gonyo would get the win. Then it would be the return of the Dirtcar Pro Stocks with two heats on the night and Zack Daniels and Kevin Featherley would get the wins. Then with nearly 30 Sportsman Modified in the pits, there would be four heats needed on the night and the winners would be Greg Snyder, DJ Gonyo, Shane Pecore, and Cedric Gouvreau. Then we would have two heats of the mighty 358 Modifieds and the winners would be Brian MacDonald and Chris Rabbe along with a big roll by Todd Stone that would completely destroy the car. Then it would be time to head to the mains for the night and first out of the box would be the Bandits and the eventual winner would be Sharlow. Then it would be onto the Mod Lites for 15 laps and after Jason Premo had his big taken from him on late caution flag he and Tristain Dibble would battle down to wire and Dibble would get the win. Then it would be the Novice Sportsman Modified for 15 laps and it would see Cameron Reif getting the win over last year's champion Pyror Stacey for the checkered. Then we would have the Dirtcar Pro Stocks four 15 laps the race would have to halt for a bit as they would have one get on its roof. After the restart, you would see a battle for the ages upfront between Kevin Featherly and Bruno Richard and with Featherley making one mistake in the closing laps Richard would capitalize for the win. Then it would be onto the Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modified main for 25 laps with 30 cars starting. There would be a few early race cautions that would keep the racing tight at the beginning. Once the cautions went away so would Shane Pecore and get the win in his return to the Mohawk International Raceway. Then it would be the main event of the evening with the 358 Modifieds for 30 laps and with Chris Rabbe starting on the pole the question was would anyone be able to track him down and the answer would be no although it would not be without a valiant effort from Carey Terrance. The racing will return to the track again next Friday, May 20th with all six divisions back in action again. Gallery
