It would be round fourteenth of the Airborne Speedway and it would be the return of the 358 Modifieds with the big block/small block challenge presented by Moore Trucking with $4,000 going to the winner. First up in the heat races would be the Modifieds in there three heats with wins going to Adam Pierson, Jessey Mueller, and Jeremy Roy. Then next up would be the Taylor Rentals 4 Cylinders with three heats and winners would be Steven Bressette, JJ Laporte, and Caleb Tourville. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for three heats with wins going to Travis Bruno, Mike Wright and Jake Scarbrough. Then next up would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified with there one heat and getting the win would be Scott Fitzgerald. Then to finish off the heats would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades with there two heats and winners would be Nathaniel Guay and Chris Murray. Then it would be onto the main events for the night and first up would be Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders for there 15 lap event and the winner would be Steven Bressette over the Laportes (JJ and Josh). Then next up would be the main event of the night with the Big Block/Small Block Challenge and there 40 lap event and $4,000 to win and when the dust would settle the winner would be Erick Rudolph over Jessey Mueller and Mike Mahanney to finish off the top three. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified 25 lap event and we would have a first time winner on the night as Fire Swamp would capture the flag over Travis Bruno and Dave Rodgers. Then it would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and when the dust settled we would have a first time winner on the night with Bubba McPhee. Then to finish off the night would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades with a 25 lap event would be Nathaniel Guay with his fourth win of the season this time over both of the Terry Brothers as Tylor and Josh round out the top three. Week #2 Mohawk International Raceway May 13th 2022

It would be the second week of racing at the Mohawk International Raceway and there would be five divisions in action on the night with the 358 Modifieds, Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman Modified, and Novice Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, and Bandits. First up for the heats would be the bandits and the win would go to Gary Sharlow. Then we would have the Novice Sportsman Modified and the win would go to Pryor Stacey. Then there would be two heats for the Pro Stock and the wins would be Bruno Richard and Zack Daniels. Then it would be the Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman Modified for three heats and the winners would be Fire Swamp, Justin Rose, and Dustin Bradley. Then to close out the heat races it would be two for the 358 Modifieds with the wins going to Carey Terrance and Brian MacDonald. Then it would be onto the mains and the first one out of the box would be the Bandits and it would be Gary Sharlow getting his second win of the season. Then we would have the Dirtcar 358 Modifieds and Carey Terrance would take his pole position start for the 30 lap race and just check out on the field for the convincing win. Then we would have the ever-popular Crossroad Tabacco Sportsman Modified for their 25-lap race and it would be a battle between father and son for the win and younger Cedric Gaureau getting the win. Then we would have the Dirtcar Pro Stocks and it would be a battle right down to the end with Kevin Fetterly and Bruno Richard and Richard would get his second straight win on the season. Then we would finish off the night with the Novice Sportsman Modified and that would once again be a back-to-back win as Cameron Reif would get the win. Bruno Richard (72) and Kevin Fetterly (57K) go after the lead during the closing stages of the Pro Stock 20 lap main for early season bragging rights. Season Opener Mohawk International Raceway May 13th 2022

Eli Gilbert (75) would spin on the final corner and Justin White (1x) would slam on the breaks to avoid him but still would make slight contact with the nose. It would be the start of the 2022 season at the Mohawk International Raceway and they would have all six of their racing divisions the 358 Modifieds, Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Novice Sportsman Modified, Mod Lites, and Bandits. The racing would start off with the Bandits heat and Sharlow would take the wire to wire win. Then we would have the Mod Lites for heat and Jason Premo would get the checkered flag. Then we would have the Novice Sportsman Modified and the old man Dale Gonyo would get the win. Then it would be the return of the Dirtcar Pro Stocks with two heats on the night and Zack Daniels and Kevin Featherley would get the wins. Then with nearly 30 Sportsman Modified in the pits, there would be four heats needed on the night and the winners would be Greg Snyder, DJ Gonyo, Shane Pecore, and Cedric Gouvreau. Then we would have two heats of the mighty 358 Modifieds and the winners would be Brian MacDonald and Chris Rabbe along with a big roll by Todd Stone that would completely destroy the car. Then it would be time to head to the mains for the night and first out of the box would be the Bandits and the eventual winner would be Sharlow. Then it would be onto the Mod Lites for 15 laps and after Jason Premo had his big taken from him on late caution flag he and Tristain Dibble would battle down to wire and Dibble would get the win. Then it would be the Novice Sportsman Modified for 15 laps and it would see Cameron Reif getting the win over last year's champion Pyror Stacey for the checkered. Then we would have the Dirtcar Pro Stocks four 15 laps the race would have to halt for a bit as they would have one get on its roof. After the restart, you would see a battle for the ages upfront between Kevin Featherly and Bruno Richard and with Featherley making one mistake in the closing laps Richard would capitalize for the win. Then it would be onto the Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modified main for 25 laps with 30 cars starting. There would be a few early race cautions that would keep the racing tight at the beginning. Once the cautions went away so would Shane Pecore and get the win in his return to the Mohawk International Raceway. Then it would be the main event of the evening with the 358 Modifieds for 30 laps and with Chris Rabbe starting on the pole the question was would anyone be able to track him down and the answer would be no although it would not be without a valiant effort from Carey Terrance. The racing will return to the track again next Friday, May 20th with all six divisions back in action again. Gallery

358 Modified Showdown presented by Hutting Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram @ Airborne Speedway May 7th 2022

Chris Raabe (01) and Mathieu Desjardins (37m) battle for the early race lead of the return of the 358 Modifieds to the Airborne Speedway in three years. It would be the second week of racing at the Airborne Speedway and it would be the return of the 358 Modifieds for the showdown for the first time since the end of the 2019 season. With that being said the 358 Modifieds would be first up for the heat races and the winners would be Chris Raabe and Mathieu Desjardins. Next up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for their three heats races on the night and the winners would be, Michael Delormier, Lonnie Rivers, and Codie Aubin. Then we would have the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and their two heat races and it would be a family affair in victory as the winners would be Josh and Tyler Terry. Then we would have the ever-popular Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders with their 2 heats on the night and the winners would be Bill Doner and Matt Parker. Then next up to the track would be the first main event of the evening with the Return of the 358 Modified and would be a great race between the 17 cars on the track as they would do the whole race caution-free as Chris Raabe would pick up the win over a hard-charging Mike Mahaney and Carey Terrance to round out the top three on the night. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for 25 laps and a 21 car field to start and their event would also go caution-free and Robert Delormeir would take his pole position and not give it up as he would lead all 25 laps to the race win over Codie Aubin and Lonnie Rivers to round out the top three on the night. Then we would have the popular Hartson Total Opening Renegades and a fourteen-car field on the night and Zack Daniels would come from the fourth spot and get the win. There would be some excitement during the race though as Cody Agoney would spin out in turn 1 and catch a rout and it would take the car on over and bring out the red flag. Once the red flag was lifted and we got back to racing Richie Turner would make a charge from the back for a second-place finish and Tyler Irwin would round out the top three in the division. Then we would have the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders and packed seventeen car field and it would be Nathan Smart charging from the back row to front to gain his second straight win on the season with Matt Parker and Mat LaValley (first career top 3) rounding out the podium on the night. Then it would be the last race of the night a five-lap match race between Kobe Hernandez, and Jonathan Toohill in the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified, and the win would go to Kobe Hernandez. The action will be back next Saturday night May 14th at Airborne Speedway with all four regular divisions back in action on Riley Ford Law Enforcement night where any law enforcement member with proper ID will be granted free entry into the races on the night.
