In the third period the Saint's defense would be up to the challenge as they would be able to stop all that the Bobcats would throw at them and get an empty netter in the closing minute of the game from Ty Naaykens for the 3-0 win. With the win the Saint's dream playoff season will continue for one more night as they advance to the championship tomorrow night against the winner of the Cornell Big Red and the Dartmouth Big Green for the right to head to the NCAA Tournament. In the winning effort, the Saint's Ben Kraws would make 22 saves for the shutout victory as they go to 14-8-6 on the season while the Quinnipiac Bobcats will wait for there at large bid Sunday and go to 26-9-2 on the season.
