It would be the semifinals of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class C Semi-finals as the #2 Saranac Lake Red Storm would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots with the winner getting the #1 Saranac Chiefs in the section VII Class C Finals on November 4th. The Red Storm would waste no time in getting the first score of the game just 1:54 into the game on a 12 yard run by Connor Hewitt for the 7-0 lead. The with just 29 seconds left in the quarter the Red Storm would strike again this time with a nine yard run by Landon LaDue and take the 14-0 lead. The Patriots would have an answer in the second quarter in a 8 yard pass to Korvin Dixon 3:39 into the quarter to make it a 14-7 game. Although with just 18 seconds left in the first half the Red Storm would strike again with a six yard pass to Connor Hewitt for his second touchdown of the game and take the 14 point lead at 21-7. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Red Storm would take little time and extending there lead to 28-7 just 1:06 in on a 27 yard run by Connor Hewitt for third score on the day. Then 3:47 into the fourth quarter the Red Storm would put the icing on the cake with a five yard run by Connor Hewitt for his 4th touchdown on the day. In the winning effort the Red Storm go to 4-4 on the season and will play the Saranac Chiefs for the section VII Class C title while the Ausable Valley Patriots season comes to end at 3-6. Gallery

It would be the semifinals of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Football playoffs and #3 Plattsburgh Hornets would head to Beekmantown and take on the number #2 Eagles with the winner getting a matchup with the undefeated Peru Nighthawks next week in the Class B finals. The game would start off good for the home Eagles as they would get the first score 6:45 into the first quarter on a seven yard run from Louis Sweenor for the 7-0 lead. Although the Hornets would answer right back on a 61 yard break out run by Trenton Griffiths just a minute later and tie the game at seven. Then with just over two minutes left in the game the Eagles would retake the lead on a seventeen yard run by Louis Sweenor for his second of the game. Although the Hornets were not going to go away easy as they march right back down field and tie the game up again at 14 on a one yard run by Trenton Griffiths. The Eagles would take the lead for the third time on a fifteen yard run by Louis Sweenor for his third score of the half with 3:15 left in the half. Then in the closing minute of the half the Eagles would double there lead at 28-14 on the six yard run by Connor Barber. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Hornets would score three minutes into make it a one score game again on Michael Phillips three yard run. Then at halfway mark of the third quarter the Eagles would make it a two score game again on Connor Baber's second score of the game and a 34-20 game. Then with four minutes left in the quarter the Eagles would score again on Louis Sweenor's fourth of the game and make it a 41-20 game. In the closing minute of the third quarter the Hornets would score on a touchdown pass to Riguelson Filosca and make it a 41-28 game. Although just two minutes into the fourth quarter the Eagles would score again to put the game out of reach on the 4 yard sneak from Nathan Parliment and make it 48-28 game. Then with three minutes left in the game the Eagles would put the icing on the cake with a three yard run by Oliver Lacombe to secure the 55-28 victory. In the winning effort the Eagles go to 5-3 on the season and will play the Peru Nighthawks for the Section VII Class B title on November 5th while the Plattsburgh Hornets season comes to end at 1-8. Although with under four minutes left in the second quarter the Red Storm would take the 10-7 lead on a 4 yard run by Connor Hewitt. The Nighthawks although would get the ball back before the half would expire and drive down the field and take the 14-10 lead in the closing minute of the half on a 5 yard run by Jack Hanson. In the third quarter the Nighthawks offense would step up and take control of the game. They would get the scoring started just 1:17 into the quarter on a 28 yard run by Jack Hanson for the 21-10 lead. The just half way through the quarter the Nighthawks would strike again this time on a ten yard run by Landon Duprey and extend the lead to 27-10. Then with under two minutes left in the quarter the Nighthawks would strike again this time on a nine yard pass to Landon Duprey to take the 34-10 lead. In the fourth quarter defense would be the name of the game as there would be no scoring and the Nighthawks would get the 34-10 lead to finish the regular season at 8-0 while the Red Storm finish at 3-4. The playoffs will get under way next weekend with the Peru Nighthawks getting a bye and will play the winner of Beekmantown and Plattsburgh for the CVAC Class B title the following weekend. While the Red Storm will host the 2-5 Ausable Valley Patriots in the CVAC Class C Semifinals with the winner getting #21 Saranac Chiefs in the CVAC Class C Championship. Gallery

It would be the last week of the regular season in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be a match up of one win teams as the Ausable Valley Patriots would host the Plattsburgh Hornets on hall of fame night for the Patriots. It would be a defensive game as both teams were fighting for field possession advantage and there would be no scoring in the first quarter. The Hornets would break the scoreless game four minutes into the second quarter on a 33 yard run by Trenton Griffiths for the 6-0 Hornets lead and thats where the game would end the first half at. Although the Patriots would come out in the third quarter hunger and they would get on the board just over half way through the third quarter on a 16 yard run by Dylan Bombard and take the 7-6 lead. That is where the same would stay till the closing stages of the 4th quarter when the Patriots and Dylan Bombard would strike again on a 1 yard run to extend the lead to 14-6 and from there the defense would hold strong and secure the Patriots win and go to 3-5 on the season while the Hornets fall to 1-7. With the win the Patriots will head into there CVAC Class C Semifinals game next week looking to upset the Saranac Lake Red Storm with the right to go to the Class C Finals on the line. In the second quarter the Nighthawks would extend there lead to 14-0 on Jack Hanson second touchdown of the game this time from 6 yard out and thats where the first half would end. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Nighthawks would strike again at the 6:12 mark on Jack Hanson third score of the game this time from 22 yards away and take the 21-0 lead. With that the defense would shut the Vikings down the rest of the game and get the 21-0 win and stay undefeated at 7-0 while the Vikings fall to 6-1 on the season.
