Peru's Jack Hanson (33) fights through the tackle from Moriah's Boden Valentine (33) and gets the first down. It would be the game of the season in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as it would be a pair of unbeatens as the #12 Peru Nighthawks would host the #3 Moriah Vikings with the winner being crowned the regular season champion. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would break the game open in the first quarter on a 53 yard run by Jack Hanson for the 7-0 lead. In the second quarter the Nighthawks would extend there lead to 14-0 on Jack Hanson second touchdown of the game this time from 6 yard out and thats where the first half would end. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Nighthawks would strike again at the 6:12 mark on Jack Hanson third score of the game this time from 22 yards away and take the 21-0 lead. With that the defense would shut the Vikings down the rest of the game and get the 21-0 win and stay undefeated at 7-0 while the Vikings fall to 6-1 on the season.
