The Peru goalkeeper Connor Perrotte comes in with the diving attempt on the ball and covers it up to stop Hornet's goal attempt. It would be a mid-week affair in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Soccer action as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host their neighbors and rival Peru Nighthawks in the second meeting of the season. As the Nighthawks would win the first meeting of the season earlier in the season at home by a 3-2 score the Hornets would be looking for revenge. The Hornets would get the opening goal of the game from #10 just 15 minutes into the game with the help of number #3 to give the Hornets the 1-0 lead. Then with just over five minutes left in the first half, the Hornets would extend their lead to 2-0 on a goal by #17 that he would get off the rebound from his own penalty kick. That is where the game would stay as defense would be the name of the game in the second half. With the win, the Hornets go to 5-5-2 as they head into their next game against Beekmantown on October 10th.
