The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would come into the night looking for the sweep of western new york as they would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC Men's Hockey action. In the opening period of the game, the Cardinals would have an offensive outburst with five goals Joey Mancuso (twice), Jake Lanyl, Trey Thomas, and Bennet Stockdale. While the Blue Devils would do their best to keep it honest with a goal by Parker Brakebill for a 5-1 game after the first period. In the second period, the Cardinals would keep hitting as they would get two more from Brendan Young and Trey Thomas second of the night for a 7-1 game headed into the third. In that third period, there would be no stopping the Cardinals as they would have another outburst this time for 6 goals from Christian Difelice, Mitchell Hale, Jale Lanyl (second of the game), Jack Ring, Adam Tretowicz, Joey Mancuso to complete his hat trick and secure the 13-1 win.
