Richard LaValley and his 1956 Ford Thunderbird with a very sharp custom paint job that just popped all over. There would be 47 cars that would participate in the Ellenburg Center Fire Department. The cars and trucks would range from the 1930s to modern cars of the 2000's. There would be many people from the community that would come and supports the event by looking around at the cars along with taking part in the BBQ. Everyone at the fire department was very pleased with the turnout and already looking for next year's event. Gallery

The annual demolition derby would return to the Franklin County there would be over a hundred cars at the derby that would be separated into eight heats including a truck heat as well. Terry Durant and Yellow Fever dig in on the stone dust track to take the win in both of the Pro Stock 4x4 Truck classes. The annual all-night affair would return to the Franklin County Field Days in Highgate, Vermont. There would be over 100 hooks that would be spread over 9 classes. That would be seen in front of a full grandstand and the brand loyalty was evident trough out the night. Gallery

Airborne Speedway's Corey Trombley (15) with the running catch in center-field to a hit. The Airborne Speedway Padres would finish off the Meron's Expos by beating them 2-0 to advance to the championship next week. The only scoring in the game would come in the fourth inning of a two rbi double by Jeff Norton. The Padres would play stellar defense throughout the day to keep the shutout in tack. In the winning effort, Frank Brogna would strike out six while going the complete game for the win. With the win, Padres will be playinging the Lyon Mountain Miners in the best two out of three series for the championship.

Plattsburgh's Krys Ross (14) steps in front of the Glens Falls wide receiver for the interception along the sidelines. The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel down to Glens Falls to take on the Greenjackets. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Glens Falls Greenjackets 34-22 to keep control of the Mayor's Cup. The North Stars would get off to a quick start when Krys Ross would nearly run back the openning kickoff but the North Stars would score on the next play to take the lead. The teams would play equal for the rest of the half and the North Stars would actually trail 22-20 at the break. In the second half, the North Stars defense would clamp down and not allow a score and the North Stars would get the 34-22 win. With the win, the North Stars go to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the league as Monroe County comes in Plattsburgh next week. Gallery

The annual truck and tractor pull to return to the Hopkinton Fire Department in Hopkinton. This pull just seems to keep getting bigger year after year. There would be around 50 competitors divided up in 14 classes that would take to the hard clay track that would take all the horsepower you could throw at it. The annual truck and tractor pull would return to Clinton County Fair the would be great action from all the division. The track and the heat would take its toll on a few vehicles throughout the day.
