Peru's goalie with the save on the long distance shot on net. It would be the start of the high school girl's soccer season with the Jan Davis Memorial Tournament at Chazy High School as the Plattsburgh Hornets would take on the Peru Nighthawks. The game would start great for the Nighthawks as they would strike twice in the first with goals from Duprey and Phillips for the 2-0 lead at the intermission. The second half would start off the same way for the Nighthawks as in the 46th minute Duprey would get her second of the game to make it a 3-0 Nighthawks. Then in the 54th minute the Hornets would get on the board with a Amaya Abellard goal to make it 3-1. Then just six minutes later Abellard would strike again and make it 3-2 with 20 minutes left in the game. Then with just just over eight minutes left in the game the Hornets would strike again from Abellard to tie the game at three and finish off her hat trick. Then inside the final minute of the game Bailey Hewson would strike to give the Plattsburgh Hornets the 4-3 victory and advance to the championship against Chazy. Gallery

There would be a battle for the ball along the end lines between a pair of Hornets and Nighthawks as they go to gain position. It would be the start of the high school girl's soccer season with the Jan Davis Memorial Tournament at Chazy High School as the Plattsburgh Hornets would take on the Peru Nighthawks. Northeastern Clinton's with the diving catch on the low line to shortstop. The Plattsburgh Hornets would be the away team as they play at home against the Northeastern Clinton Cougars a the Cougars' field was not ready to be played on. The game would start off good for the Hornets as they would get two runs in the first inning for the 2-0 lead and that's, where the game would stay until the bottom of the third when the Cougars would answer with two of their, own and tie the game at 2. Although it would not be tied for very long as the Hornets would answer back in the fourth inning with three runs and retake the lead at 5-2. Then in the fifth, the Hornets would get two more as they would extend the lead to 7-2. In the bottom of the fifth, the Cougars would get a single run to make it a 7-3 game, and then at the bottom of the sixth, the Cougars would add another three runs and make it a 7-6 game as they went to the seventh. In the seventh inning, the Hornets would the game away as they would add three runs and get the 10-6 win. Gallery

It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball matchup between the Saranac Chiefs and the Peru Nighthawks in early season action. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would get five runs in the first two innings and take the 5-0 lead. In the third inning, the Chiefs would start to get back in the game with two runs on Benjamin and Owen base hits for a 5-2 game. The game would stay there till the sixth when the Nighthawks would get two runs again to resecure their five-run lead at 7-2 and that's where the game would finish for the Nighthawks win. Gallery

The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars at the first game at the new baseball field as part of the Plattsburgh High School Athletic Complex. The game would start off good for the home Hornets as they would get two runs thanks to Duquette and Trombley. Then in the second inning, the Hornets would add another run because of an error as the Hornets extend their lead to 3-0. Then in the fourth inning, the Hornets would add another run thanks to a rbi single and take the 4-0 lead. In the fourth inning, the Cougars would get on the board on the sacrifice fly by Ebersol for a 4-1 game. Although in the bottom of the fourth the Hornets retake their four-run on the sac fly by Bostyn Duquette for the 5-1 game. Then in the fifth inning, the Hornets would add two more runs thanks to the king's hit for the 7-1 lead. Then in the sixth inning, the Hornets would blow the game wide open as they would explode for a nine-run inning highlighted by a pair of extra-base hits by Trombley and King as they would make it a 16-1 game and that's where the game would finish up. With the win, the Hornets get their season started off right at 1-0 while the Cougars are still looking for a win as they are 0-2. Gallery

The game would start off fast and furious for the home Hornets as they would get six runs in the first for the early 6-0 lead. The Hornets would continue the offense in the second inning as they would get three more to extend their lead to 9-0. The early game success would continue in the third with another two runs and they were off to the races with an 11-0 lead. The game would stay there all the way to the 6th inning when the Nighthawks would finally get on the board with a pair of runs for the 11-2 game. Although the Hornets would get four runs in the sixth to make it a 15-2. Then the last inning the Nighthawks would get a pair as they made a last-ditch effort at the game as the Hornets get the 15-4 win and go to 1-0 on the season while the Nighthawks fall to 0-1 Gallery

#8 Ichabod Crane Riders Vs Plattsburgh Hornets NYSPHSAA Boy's Basketball Class B Regional March 13th 2022

Ichabod Crane's Jason Borrelli (1) cuts off the attack of Plattsburgh's Carter King (24). It would be the last game of the 2022 NYSPHSAA Northern Regionals finals from Clinton Community College and it would feature the #8 Ichabod Crane Riders and the Plattsburgh Hornets in boy's class b action. The game would start off good for the Riders as they would streak out to a 20-6 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, it would be more of the same for the Riders as they would have a 17-6 quarter and take a 37-12 lead into the break. When they came back for the second half the Hornets still would have no answer for the Riders as they would get outscored 38-19 and fall to the Riders 75-31, In the winning effort the #8 Ichabod Crane Riders would punch their ticket to Glens Falls and the NYSPHSAA Class B Boy's Basketball final four and the Plattsburgh Hornets season would come to an end at a mark of 16-5.
