Malone's Josh Trombley (22) pins Ogensburg's Jarred Barr (7) along the end boards and battles for the puck. The Malone Huskies would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils to get the Section X Hockey season underway. The game would remain scoreless all the way till the third period when Malone's Jake Henning would get the game's first goal at 1:10 to give the Huskies 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 11th minute of the third when the Blue Devils would tie it up on Jon Taylor's goal. The Huskies would keep scraping though and get the game-winner with just over two minutes left when Bailey Conklin would score on the breakaway to give the Huskies the 2-1 win. With the win the Huskies get there season started off right at 1-0. Gallery

Malone's Bailey Conklin (9) comes in the breakaway late in the third period and slides the puck by Ogdensburg's David Prudhomme (31) from the game-winning goal. The Malone Huskies would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils to get the Section X Hockey season underway. The game would remain scoreless all the way till the third period when Malone's Jake Henning would get the games first goal at 1:10 to give the Huskies 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 11th minute of the third when the Blue Devils would tie it up on Jon Taylor's goal. This years tournament would have seven teams between 6 schools (Saranac A & B, Chateaugay, Plattsburgh, Peru, Ogdensburg, and Northeastern Clinton). When it was all said and done the Chateaugay Bulldogs would win the tournament with a record of an 11-1 and Plattsburgh would be second at 10-2. It would be another great tournament with all teams having a great time as sectionals rapidly approach. Gallery

This years tournament would have seven teams between 6 schools (Saranac A & B, Chateaugay, Plattsburgh, Peru, Ogdensburg, and Northeastern Clinton). When it was all said and done the Chateaugay Bulldogs would win the tournament with a record of a 11-1 and Plattsburgh would be second at 10-2. Malone's Jordan Yando (14) makes contact on the pitch and sends it to the outfield for the base hit. he Malone Huskies would open up there season at home against fellow central division team Ogdensburg Blue Devils. The Huskies would get four runs in the opening inning thanks to three walks from the Blue Devils. The score would stay there till the third when the Huskies would get four more runs thanks to walks again to make it 8-0. The Blue Devils would get on the broad in the fourth to make it 8-1. The Blue Devils continue there comeback with two more in the 5th to make it 8-3. Then in the sixth, the Blue Devils would get even closer and make it tight down the stretch with four in the inning. The Huskies would shut them down in the seventh to hold on for the 8-7 win. Alex Johnson would help the Huskies get the win with a couple rbi's at the plate. With the win, the Huskies start there season at 1-0. Gallery

The Malone Huskies would open up there season at home against fellow central division team Ogdensburg Blue Devils. Malone's Cameron Daniels (44) lines up the Ogdensburg skater and gets him the crushing shoulder check. The Malone Huskies would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils in Section X Division II action. The game would match two teams that were very evenly matched. It would take till the seven-minute marl of the 2nd period for the first goal when Drew Costigan would light the lamp with the assist going to Nolan Ruffa. Then with just over a minute left in the 2nd period, Ogdensburg would strike again this time on the power-play goal by Brandon Mullin with Jake Garrison picking up the assist to make to 2-0 Blue Devils after two. The Huskies would answer right back just 45 seconds into the third period Trevor Cooley would put away the loose puck for the power-play goal to make it a game at 2-1 Blue Devils. Then just over two minutes later the Blue Devils would take their two-goal lead back on Brandon Mullins's second goal of the game with the assist going to Gian Ruffa and Mark Morrow. The Blue Devils would end the scoring at 12:59 of the third period Burke Comeau scores on the power play with the assist going to Jake Garrison and Brandon Mullins. The Blue Devils would get the 4-1 victory to stay atop the Division II standings. In the losing effort, Joey Brown would stop 37 of 41 shots as the Huskies fall to 7-6-1 on the season.Gallery
