The Malone Huskies would open up there season at home against fellow central division team Ogdensburg Blue Devils. The Huskies would get four runs in the opening inning thanks to three walks from the Blue Devils. The score would stay there till the third when the Huskies would get four more runs thanks to walks again to make it 8-0. The Blue Devils would get on the broad in the fourth to make it 8-1. The Blue Devils continue there comeback with two more in the 5th to make it 8-3. Then in the sixth, the Blue Devils would get even closer and make it tight down the stretch with four in the inning. The Huskies would shut them down in the seventh to hold on for the 8-7 win. Alex Johnson would help the Huskies get the win with a couple rbi's at the plate.
