The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the third when the Nighthawks would open up the scoring four runs. In the top of the fourth, the Red Storm would cut the deficit in half as they would get at 4-2. The Nighthawks would explode for eight runs in the sixth inning and extend the lead to 12-2.
