It would be the start of the second day of the 6th annual Clinton Community College Holiday Classic, and it would begin with a matchup between Section X and Section VII, pitting the Malone Huskies against the Saranac Spartans. The game started well for the Huskies, who jumped out to a 13-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, though, the Spartans would start to find their shot, scoring 12 points and trailing by a slim 18-16 at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Spartans kept their hot hand going, scoring 15 points and taking a 31-22 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Huskies mounted a great comeback attempt and even had a chance to tie the game and force overtime in the final 2 seconds with a three-point attempt, but it came up short, and they would fall 44-41. In the winning effort for the Spartans M, Addison Graigner would lead the way with 13 points as they gowent-0 in the tournament. As for the Hus, Raegan McArddle would have me high, high 20 points, but they would finish the tournament 0-2 with competitive games. Gallery
