It would be the opening game of the third edition of the Adirondack Winter Invitional from the Herb Brooks Arena and it would feature the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks and the St. Lawrence Saints in front off nearly 1100 fans. It would take till the 1:25 of the mark of the second period for the opening goal of the game as William Fleet would score for the Nanooks to get them 1-0 lead at the first period would be very defensive. The game would would not stay there long as the Nanooks would make it a 2-0 game at the 6:40 mark of the period when Michael Citara would score. The game would stay there throughout as the Nanooks wuld get the 2-0 victory and play for the crown in the Adirondack Winter Invitional tomorrow. In the winning effort for the Nanooks Lassi Lethi would make 19 saves for the shutout win as they go to 3-8-1 on the season. As for the Saints they would fall to 2-12-1 as Colin Winn would make 23 saves. The Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks will have the late game tomorrow against the Clarkson Golden Knights as the St. Lawrence Saints will have the early game against the Massuschusetts Lowell Riverhawks.
