It would be a battle of North Country rivals from theFlorencee Center as the Clinton Community College Cougars would host the #11 NorthCountryy Community College in NJCAA Region 3 basketball as we are nearing the end of the season. The Cougars would be fighting an uphill battle the whole way through. They would do their best to stay with them early, but the Saints would start to pull away and lead 41-29 at halftime. When the teams returned, the Saints were off to the races, as they led 45-23 at halftime and secured an86-52 victory. The game would be called with around 4 minutes left after a fight broke out in the stands, and with the game in hand, the officials figured that was enough for the night. In the winning effort, the Saints go to 15-2 on the season as the Cougars fall to 4-12. Gallery

It would be the rematch of last year's Section VII Championship game as the Saranac Spartans would host the Beekmantown Eagles at the AC North Arena The game would remain scoreless until the 1:03 mark of the second period, when the Eagles would get the opening goal from Evan Bruyere and take the 1-0 lead The Spartans would waste little time tying the game at the 6:13 mark of the period when Gabe Moore would hit the back of the net, and that's where the second period would end, tied at one. Then at the 2:22 mark of the third period, the Eagles would retake the lead at 2-1 on the Edward Sweenor goal. Then, just 2:05 later, the Eagles would extend their lead to 3-1 when Mason Carter would add the power-play goal. Then, with just 1:52 left in the game, the Eagles would put the final touches on the game when Edward Sweenor would add his second of the game. In the Eagles' inning effort, Jack Bell would have 19 ss, and they go to 5-6-1 on the season. As for the Spartans, Teegan Vanvalkenburg would make 49 saves as they fall to 4-8 on the season. The home Cardinals would waste little time getting the opening goal of the game, just 54 seconds in, on a goal by Alexandro Moliner for the 1-0 lead, and the stress ball was released. Releasedust 90 seconds later, the Cardinals would make it 2-0 on the Spencer Bellina goal, and the upset-minded Cardinals were cooking. Then, at the 9:15 mark of the first, the Lakers would cut the deficit in half as Matt McQuade scored to make it 2-1. The game would stay there until 22 seconds into the second, when the Cardinals would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 on Quinn Tavares' goal. In the second period, it wouldn't be much better, as the Statesmen would get a couple more goals from Tamas Roth and Easton Ryan (second of the night), making it a 5-0 game at the end of two. In the third period, the Statesmen would finish off the bashing of the Cardinals with another pair of goals from Dominic Schimizzi and Arvega Hovespyan (second of the game) as they would fall 7-0.
