North Country Flag Football Team Downs Vs Team Malinak September 10th 2017

Team Malinak's Caiden Goodman with the catch on the low ball down to a knee. It would be the opening week of the outdoor flag football season. In the final game of the game, it would be Team Malinak Vs Team Downs. In-game that Team Malinak would dominate they would have a 35-0 lead at the break. In the second half, Malinak would reel in a bit and win the half 12-0 and secure the 47-0 victory. In the winning effort, Team Malinak goes to 2-0 while Team Down starts 0-1. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 2 Peru Indians Vs Beekmantown Eagles September 9th 2017

Peru's (6) with the two-handed catch over the middle and would turn up for a big gain and first down. It would be week two of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be the classic rival game between the host Peru Indians and the visiting Beekmantown Eagles. The Indians would streak first on the Keagen LaGrave (26) 6 yard run halfway through the first quarter for the 6-0 lead. The Indians would strike again when Keagan LaGrave would score on the pass play with 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter to make it 13-0. The Eagles would strike right back on a 60 yard run by Cris Arzola to make it 13-7 after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter Eagles, Cris Arzola would tie the game on a 51-yard run at 5:12 of the quarter. Then in the final minute of the quarter, the Eagles would take the lead on the touchdown pass to Evan Burnell for the 19-13 lead at halftime. When the teams would come back for the second half Austin Carpenter (3) would get the scoring started for the Indians on a touchdown pass at 4:24 of the third to make it 20-19. In the final minute of the quarter, Austin Carpenter would strike again to make it 27-19 after the third quarter. The Eagles would strike back and tie the game at 27 just under two minutes into the fourth quarter with Evan Burnell's second score to tie the game at 27. Then about halfway through the fourth, the Eagles would take the 33-27 on Cris Arzola's third score of the game. Then with just under two minutes left in the game, the Indians would tie the game at 33 and send it to overtime. In the overtime period, the Indians would get the play first and score on Ryan Connell quarterback sneak to make it 40-33. The Eagles would get a chance to match them and force and force another overtime. With that Eagles possession, Cris Arzola would score although the Eagles would go for two and succeed and get the 41-40 victory. In the winning effort, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 1-1 as the head back on the road against Moriah Vikings. With the lose the Peru Indians fall to 0-2 on the season as they will host the 0-2 Saranac Lake Red Storm Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 2 Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Moriah Vikings September 8th 2017

Plattsburgh's Ian Detulleo (2) with the pass break up along the farside long. It would be the start of week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season as we have the Plattsburgh Hornets hosting the Moriah Vikings in League action. The Vikings would get the first score of the game in the 1st quarter a run by Connor Anderson for the 8-0 lead. In the second quarter the Vikings would extend there lead to 16-0 on Connor Anderson's second touchdown run of the day at 4:38of the quarter. The game would stay there til the 7:26 mark of the third quarter when Jay Sargent would take it 22 yards for the score and make it 24-0. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would get on the board on a 20-yard touchdown pass to Talon Bushey at the 8:10 mark to make it 24-8. Although the Vikings would answer right back a short run to secure the 31-8 victory. In the winning effort, the Vikings improve to 2-0 as they head home for Beekmantown next week. While the Hornets fall to 0-2 and will host the Saranac Chiefs next week. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 2 Ausable Valley Patriots Vs Saranac Lake Red Storm September 1 2017

Saranac's Lakes Jarrett Ashton (9) bounces off the would be tacklers for the first down as part of a two touchdown night. It would be opening night of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference football season and the Ausable Valley Patriots would host the Saranac Lake Red storm. The Red Storm would get the opening score of the game as Jarrett Ashton would bust out for 61 yards for the 6-0 lead. The would stay there til 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter when Mason Douglas would return a fumble and give the Patriots the 8-6 lead. The Red Storm would answer right back on Jarrett Ashton's second touchdown of the night and regain the 14-8 lead. On the next Patriots possession Matthew Pray would break it 80 yards and the Patriots would take the 16-14 lead back. Although the Red Storm would strike again on a Jacob Shipman 50 yard touchdown reception to give the Red Storm the 22-16 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half the Patriots defense would step up and take charge of the game. The Patriors would retake the lead at 24-22 on a Luis Perez 8 yard reception and score with just under 5 minutes left in the third quarter. The Patriots would extend there lead to 30-22 a 71 yard touchdown run for Matthew Pray his second of the game Then with just under 8 minutes left in the game Jarrett Ashton would get his third touchdown of the game and tie the game at 30. The Patriots would regain the lead at 38-30 with 6:30 left in the game on Matthew Pray's third touchdown of the game and secure the 38-30 win. In the winning effort the Patriots start there season at 1-0 while the Red Storm fall to 0-1. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 2 Saranac Chiefs Vs Plattsburgh Hornets September 2 2017

Saranac's Jacob Nolan (13) with the catch along the sidelines and turns upfield for the big gain. The Saranac Chiefs would open up there season at home against the Plattsburgh Hornets. The Chiefs would strike quick for the early lead on the 60 yards run by Luke Maye for the 6-0 lead at 1:54 of the first quarter. The Chiefs would extend there lead to 14-0 on a Jacob Nolan 61 yard touchdown at the end of the quarter. In the second quarter, the Chiefs would extend there lead to 22-0 on an Andy LaBeau interception for a touchdown. At the end of the Horners would finally get on the board to make it a 22-8 Chiefs lead at the break. The Horners would come out and try and make a game of it as they would return a fumble for a score to make it 22-14. Then with about two minutes left in the game, the Chiefs would extend there lead 28-14 on a Jacob Nolan score. With that, the Chiefs would get the 28-14 win and go to 1-0 as the Hornets fall to 0-1. DirtCar Championships presented by P.M. Leary Restoration Airborne Park Speedway September 2nd 2017

Cory McCoy (69C) cuts to the bottom of Jason Bruno (66) battling for position early in the Sportsman Modified feature as we get up close. It would be Dirtcar Championship night presented by P.M. Leary Restoration as all divisions would be in attendance with points champions being crowned in the 358 and Sportsman Modified divisions along with a 2,000 win in the 358 Modified. The competition would be intense throughout the evening with a red flag for a rollover in the 358 Modified and multiple restarts needed in the Sportsman Modified race to get the first five laps done. When the dust would settle the eventual winners would be Rolland Guay (Strictly Stock), Michael Whalen (Mini-Modified) after winner Clemente Bell was disqualified, Brent Jarvis (Renegades), Connor Cleveland (Sportsman Modified), Stephen Bernier (358 Modified). As for the points champions Connor Cleveland (Sportsman Modified), Chris Raabe (358 Modified) would win the first track championships at Airborne on dirt in 27 years. Next week the track will be back in action on Sunday, September 10th as the Dirtcar series Pro Stock and Sportsman Modified tour come to town. Gallery

Bill McBride Chevy and Subaru Salute to Our Heroes presented by Sheehan and Sons Construction Airborne Park Speedway August 26th 2017

Billy Cook (M70) knocks into Connor Cleveland (09) as they battle for position in the middle of the corner. It would be Bill McBride Chevy and Subaru Salute to Heroes night at Airborne Park Speedway. There would be some great close racing throughout the night along with some banging for the position. The main event of the evening would be the 358 Modifieds 30 lapper and it would be Chris Raabe would get his 6th win of the season. While on the under-card Thomas Cook would get win 1 in the Sportsman Modifieds, Renegades would be Michael Wright with win 2, Mini-Modifieds Kris Clark with win 7 and Roland Guay with win 4 on the season. Next will be Dirtcar championships with all 5 divisions in action along with a 50 lapper for the 358 Modifieds. Gallery

Essex County Fair Truck Pull Westport, NY August 19th 2017

Mike Silver and the Corvette carries the front wheels past the full pull line for a good run on the sandy track. The Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers would return to the Essex County Fair in Westport, NY after a 6 years absence. There would be 12 classes in the all-night affair as the trucks would range from stock trucks all the way up to the Pro Stock 4x4 Trucks. All would put on a great show in the front of the packed house excited for there return. Gallery

Essex County Fair Tractor Pull Westport, NY August 18th 2017

Denis Decose and Alky Ollie return after tearing the rear end out of the tractor at the pull-in Plattsburgh a month earlier. The Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers returned to the Essex County Fair for the first time since 2011. In the tractor pull, there would be 14 classes ranging from stock tractors to the Super Farm Tractors. The would-be around 70 hooks in the evening as they try to build the division back at the fair. Clinton County Fair Demolition Derby Plattsburgh, NY July 23rd 2017

Brandon Lamere (133)with the hard hit on the unsuspected car that almost flips it over. It was the annual return of the Demolition Derby at the Clinton County Fair. There would be over 200 cars in the all-day affair ranging from the 4 Cylinders and 8 Cylinders classes along with the trucks and vans. There would be main hard hits throughout the day as the drivers were playing for keeps. Gallery
