Clarkson's Anthony Romano (20) with the early goal on the doorstep to get the Golden Knights started off. As the #7 Clarkson Golden Knights would host the #13 Arizona State Sun Devils in the first of a pair of games on the weekend in front of 2900 fans. The game would start off good for the home Golden Knights as they would take the quick 1-0 lead three minutes into the game on a goal from Anthony Romano. The game would stay there till the 12-minute mark of the second period when the Sun Devils would tie the game up on the James Sanchez goal. The game would stay there through the rest of regulation as there would be no more scoring. The game would go to overtime and the Golden Knights would send the home crowd home early with a winner just a minute in from Jack Jacome. In the winning effort, Frank Marotte would 23 saves as the Golden Knights go to 17-5-2 on the season and look for the weekend sweep. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jimmy Poreda (29) with the save on the breakaway to keep the game tied as part of a 23 save night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals with fellow Cardinal Wesleyan in nonconference action at the Ronald B Safford Ice Arena. The Cardinals get the quick 1-0 lead as they would score just 1:16 into the game on the Brendan Young. Wesleyan would get the equalizer in the final three minutes of the period on the Danny Sorabella goal. Wesleyan wouldn't waste time as they would take the 2-1 just 2:30 into the second period on the Colin Cobb. Then at the 15:24 mark of the second period, Plattsburgh State would tie the game up at 2 on the powerplay goal by Christian Defielecie. That is where the game would remain until the last 45 seconds when Liam Lawson would get the game-winner on a rebound in front of the net. The #7 Clarkson Golden Knights would host the Princeton Tigers at the Cheel Arena in ECAC Hockey in front of just over 2100 fans in a rematch of the 2018 ECAC Championship. The home Golden Knights would get the opening goal of the game on the powerplay from Haralds Egle at the 9:39 mark of the first period. The game would stay right there till inside the final three minutes of the second period when the Tigers would tie the game at 1 on a goal by Liam Grande. The Golden Knights would keep fighting and take the lead back at the nine minute mark of the third period on the Adam Tisdale goal to make it 2-1. From there the Golden Knights defense would step up and they would hold on for the 2-1 victory. In the winning effort Frank Marotte would make 23 saves as they go to 14-4-2 and will look to finish off the weekend sleep against the Quinnipac Bobcats. Gallery

Engineers at the Cheel Arena for there first game of 2020 and since December 14th and come right back into conference play. The Engineers would jump out to a quick 1-0 lead as Simon Kjellberg would score 1:23 into the game and make it 1-0. The game would stay there all the way to the third period when the Engineers would double up there lead on the Ture Linden goal to make it 2-0 Engineers. The Golden Knights would get on the board with just over five minutes left in the game with a Mathieu Gosselin goal to make it 2-1. Although they would not be able to get the equalizer and the Engineers would get an empty-net goal in the final minute from Will Reilly to secure the 3-1 win for the Engineers. In the losing effort, Frank Marotte would make 23 saves as the Golden Knights fall to 13-4-2. Wentworth's Anthony Blad (7) rides the Endicott defender into the boards behind the net. The conference foes from the Commonwealth Coast Conference would meet in a nonconference game for the consolation game of the 2020 WB Mason Winter Classic at Plattsburgh State. The Gulls would get the opening goal of the game at 6:43 mark from Elliott Clemmons. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Leopards would answer right back 12 seconds later and tie the game up on the Connor Beaudet goal to make it 1-1. About five minutes later at the 11:29 mark of the first period, the Gulls would retake the lead at 2-1 on Jason Kalinowski's second goal of the night. In the final 30 seconds of the period, the Leopards would tie the game at 2 on the Connor Beaduet second goal of the game. The game would stay there till the third period when Endicott's Jason Kalinowski would get his hat trick goal at the 11:48 of the third period. to make it 3-2. Then about three minutes later the Gulls would put the icing on the cake with 4-2 win on the goal by Zach Mazur. With the win, the Gulls will finish the weekend 1-1 and get third place in the 2019 WB Mason Winter Classic. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Samir Abouelhana (28) comes in on the breakaway and slides it by the goalies pad for the goal and the Cardinals extend there lead to 4-0. It would be the second semi-final game of the W.B. Mason Winter Classic and it would feature the host Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Wentworth Leopards. It would take the home Cardinals a bit to get going but they would end the first period on a hot streak with three goals in the final three minutes from Rich McCartney, Liam Lawson, and Joe Kile for a 3-0 lead. In the second period, the Cardinals would get a pair of goals to expand on there lead coming from Samir Abouelhana and Christian Dahl. While the Leopards would get a goal from Jake Hallisey to break up the shutout bid and make it a 5-1 game, In the third period the Cardinals would go into conservation mode and ride out the period to save energy for the finals tomorrow and give up one goal to Nate Chase and secure the 5-2. In the winning effort, Christian Dahl would lead the way with 2 points and Jimmy Poreda would have 29 saves as the Cardinals go to 4-6-1 on the season, The Cardinals will be back in action tomorrow evening as they will play the Elmira Soaring Eagles in the finals of the W.B.
