As the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Brockport State Golden Eagles. In the first quarter, the Cardinals would start with a slight lead at 17-16. In the second quarter, the teams would be even as they tie for the quarter at 18 and the Cardinals would have a 35-34 lead. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would pull away with a 26-17 quarter and have a 60-52 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would pull away more winning the quarter 21-15 and secure the 81-67 victory. Plattsburgh State's Anna Thompson (3) with the runner in the lane for the basket as part of a six-point night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would start the 2018 portion of the schedule with a home conference game against the Geneseo Knights. It would be a tight start to the game as the Cardinals trail 25-23 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Knights would extend there lead slightly as they would win the quarter 14-11 and have a 39-34 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would a defensive battle as the Knights would win the quarter 8-5 and have a 47-39 lead after the third. In the fourth quarter, the Knights would win the quarter slightly again 24-21 as the Cardinals would fall 71-60.
