The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hobart Statesmen in the finals of the Buck's Supply Winter Classic. The Statesmen would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:58 mark of the first on Mitch Beyer's goal for the 1-0 Statesmen lead. Then just 19 seconds later the Statesmen would extend the lead to 2-0 on Bo Webster's goal. The score would stay there all the way to the third period when the Statesmen would get an empty netter from Mac Olson at 17:34 of the third period. Inside the last minute of the game, Rich Botting would score for the Cardinals to avoid the shutout as the Cardinals fall 3-1. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hamilton Continentals in the Buck's Supply Winter Classic Semi-Finals. It would take just half of the first period for the Cardinals' to get on the broad when Alex Brenton would get the goal at 10:52 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. Hamilton's Michael Dimare would tie the game up 27 seconds left in the first period at 1-1. Hamilton would take the 2-1 lead on the power-play goal by Pat Curtis at 1:52 of the second period. The Cardinals would tie the game up at 2 at 7:24 on Kyle Hall's breakaway goal. Then at 10:43 of the second the Cardinals would take the 3-2 lead thanks to Alex Brenton's second goal of the night. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 4-2 on Dillan Fox's goal at 7:49 of the third period.
