It would be the battle of the Saranac river as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Saranac Chiefs in CVAC action as both teams were looking to get their first win of the season. The first quarter would definitely be a feeling-out period as it would be locked up at eight at the end of the first quarter. Although in the second quarter the Chiefs would start to find their stride as they would go on a 16-4 run for the quarter and take a 24-12 lead into the locker room. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Hornets would try their best to get back in the game with a run of their own in the quarter with a 15-8 quarter and trail 32-27 into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Chiefs would get back on track and hold the Hornets in check with an 11-10 quarter and secure the 43-37 victory. In the winning effort, Sebastian Dandrow-Pellerin would lead the way with 11 points as the Chiefs gets their first win of the season.
