The #23 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC foe the Cortland State in a battle of the top two teams in the conference. The Cardinals would be in pretty much complete control from start to finish as they would take a 48-38 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same as the Cardinals would win the half 50-40 and secure the 99-78 victory.
