It would be an evenly matched game through the great equalizer the rain there would be no score after the first quarter. The Saranac Chiefs would take a 6-0 lead into half on a QB sneak by Johnny Maye with 5 minutes left in the half. In the third quarter with 8 minutes left the Ausable Valley Patriots would tie the game up at 6 on a Tyler Atkins run. The game would remain there through regulation. They would go into overtime tied at six.
