Peru's Evan Palmer (3) with the leaping catch along the sidelines over Beekmantown's Chris Arzola (23). It would be the classic rivalry for the Section VII Class B Championship as the #1 Beekmantown Eagles would take on the #2 Peru Indians. The Eagles would fire the shoot and take the 7-0 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter the offenses would come alive and combine for 35 points and the game would be deadlocked at 21 at the half. When the teams came back for the third quarter the defenses would show up as the Indians would get the only score to take a 28-21 into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, the Peru Indians would outscore the Eagles 13-8 and secure the 41-29 victory. In the winning effort, the Peru Indians advance to the New York State playoffs and will take on the Potsdam Sandstoners in the first round. Gallery
