Plattsburgh's Jace Lacey (21) comes in on the breakaway and flips it over the goalie for the goal. Today, it would be an interstate game as the Rice Memorial Knights would come across Lake Champlain and face off with the Saranac Chiefs at Ameri-can North Sports Complex. The game would start off well for the home Chiefs as they would get on the board 36 seconds into the game on a breakaway goal from Landen Duprey and that is where the first period would end as it would be the only goal of the period. It would take all the way to the 14-minute mark if there were another goal in the second period. The Chiefs would find the net on a 5x3 powerplay goal by Ashtyn Caitlin as the Chiefs make it a 2-0 game. Then with 54 seconds left in the second period, the Chiefs would take control of the game with a goal from Adrian Barnes to make it 3-0. In the third period, the Saranac Chiefs' defense would stand tall hold the Knights' offense in check, and even kill a couple of penalties as they would secure the 3-0 victory. Joey Mitchell would make 44 saves for the shutout in the winning effort as they went to 5-1-2 on the season. The Chiefs will be back in action at the Ameri-can North Arena as they take on the Saranac Lake/Lake Placid Lakers in conference action. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Brandon Calkins (12) crashes into the goalie on the breakaway and scores to give the team the lead. It would be a nonleague matchup featuring section vii and section x as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in Boy's Hockey action. The Plattsburgh Hornets would get the game's opening goal in the early stages of the period and take the 1-0 lead. Then in the final three minutes of the period, the Lumberjacks would tie the game at one. The game would stay there til the 7:30 mark of the second period when the Hornets would regain the lead on the Jace Lacey goal at 2-1. However, the Lumberjacks would fight back and tie the game up at 2 in the final 90 seconds of the period. Then it would be onto the high offense third period where the teams would combine for seven goals. The Lumberjacks would strike first at the 1:29 mark and take the 3-2 lead. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Hornets and Jace Lacey would answer right back 19 seconds later and tie the game at three. Then in a matter of 45 seconds, the Lumberjacks would score twice and take the 5-3 lead. Although the Hornets wouldn't be done as they would score three goals in the final 7 minutes all from Brendan Calkins to secure the 6-5 Hornets win. In the winning effort, the Hornets go to 2-3 while the Lumberjacks fall to 1-8 on the season. Gallery
