Then in the second, they would get two more runs to make it 4-0 Panthers. In the third inning, they would add another run to make it 5-0. Then in the fourth, they would add four more to make it 9-0. Then in the fifth, they would explode for six runs and put the game away at 15-0. In the winning effort, Alex Brunett would go the distance for the shutout and strike out at 11. Joe McComb would be at the helm of the Bulldogs as Chris Reynolds served a one-game suspension. The Bulldogs would get off to a slow start as the Panthers have a 9-7 lead after the first. The Bulldogs would get together in the second as they won the quarter 10-6 and have a 17-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the Bulldogs would win it by the slim 7-6 to have a 24-21 lead headed to the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs would get a run going and win the quarter 11-5 to give them the 35-26 win. Beekmantown's Justin Stevens (22) lays up off the window for two on the breakaway. It would be the first game of the 2013 edition of the Section 7/10 Challenge with the Beekmantown Eagles and the Brushton-Moria Panthers facing off at Plattsburgh. It would be a tight game for most of other than a run that the Eagles went on in the second half extending it to a 17 point lead. The Panthers would do there best to come back although it would fall short. As the Eagles would get the 56-49 victory with the win the Eagles fo to 2-4 while the Panthers fall to 3-3 on the season. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moira Panthers in Section X East Division. The two rivals would play a very spirited game throughout and be very competitive. The Bulldogs would get the opening goal in the 11th minute on the Cody Smith goal to make it 1-0 Bulldogs. That is where the game would remain until the 63rd minute when the Bulldogs would increase the lead to 2-0 on Wayne Cowan's rebound goal. That would be enough for the Bulldogs as they would hold on for the 2-0 win. In the winning effort, Josh Trombley would just need to make one save for the shutout victory.
