It would be the first game of the 2013 edition of the Section 7/10 Challenge with the Beekmantown Eagles and the Brushton-Moria Panthers facing off at Plattsburgh. It would be a tight game for most of other than a run that the Eagles went on in the second half extending it to a 17 point lead. The Panthers would do there best to come back although it would fall short. As the Eagles would get the 56-49 victory with the win the Eagles fo to 2-4 while the Panthers fall to 3-3 on the season. Section 7/10 Challenge Malone Huskies Vs Saranac Chiefs December 28 2013

Malone's Zach Raymond (20) takes flight in the lane and draws the contact from Saranac's John Mayne (22) for the basket. In the last of five games in the Challenge it would be the Malone Huskies and Saranac Chiefs from the Plattsburgh State Field House. This would be a half-court game with defenses stepping up to keep their team in the contest after the first half the Huskies would have 24-19 lead on the Chiefs. In the second half the offenses would find some more space and the Huskies would win the half 33-24 to secure the 57-43 win. With the win Huskies go to 7-1 while the Chiefs fall to 3-4 on the season. Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs St. Regis Falls Saints December 16 2013

Chateaugay's Seth Young (3) drives the lane hard and draws the contact on the basket as part of 15 point night. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Section X East Division action. This early season matchup would see the defenses locking both teams down after the first the Bulldogs would have a 8-5 lead. In the second quarter the defenses would still hold tight as the Saints win the quarter 13-7 and took a 18-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the defenses would still have the upper hand as the Bulldogs win the quarter 9-5 and take the 24-23 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter the offenses would finally show up as the Saints win the quarter 20-14 to give the Saints the 43-38 win. With the win the Saints go to 6-0 and the Bulldogs fall to 2-3 on the season. Gallery

Malone Huskies Vs Gouverneur Wildcats December 9 2013

Malone's Kody Mulverhill (3) takes flight and lays it off the window for the layup basket as part of his 12 point night. The Malone Huskies would host the Gouverneur Wildcats in Section X Central Division action. The Huskies would hold the slim 11-8 lead after the first quarter. The game would remain tight at the half with the Huskies having a 23-19 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the game would stay tight with the Huskies having a 35-30. Then in the fourth quarter both teams offenses would come alive but the Huskies proved to have enough as they outscored them 22-19 for the 57-49 victory. In the winning effort Malone's Alex Johnson would lead the way with 19 points as the Huskies go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery

Malone's Connor Daily (1) and Brushton-Moria's Loren Traynor (10) battle for the loose ball near midcourt diving over each other. The Malone Huskies would host the Brushton-Moria Panthers in Section X action. The Huskies would leave little doubt in the game as they would take a 26-2 lead after the first. In the second quarter it would be more of the same as the Huskies would win the quarter 24-6 and take a 50-8 lead at the break. When the teams would return for the third quarter it would be more of the same as the Huskies win the third 24-7 and take a 74-15 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter the Huskies would put on the finishing touches as they would win the quarter 22-6 to get the easy 96-21 victory. In the winning effort Nate Monnette would lead all scores with 21 points. With the win the Huskies finish off the regular season with a 17-1 record and win the central division. Gallery

The Malone Huskies seniors on the basketball and cheerleading teams would hold the flag during the Senior Night Ceremony before the game. The Malone Huskies would host the Massena Red Raiders in basketball action as part of the Section X Central Division action. The game would be very physical with many fouls called through out the games as both teams were looking for the edge. The Huskies would lead by a slim 20-19 after the first quarter. In the second quarter it would be more of the same as the Red Raiders would win the quarter 19-17 and take a 38-37 lead at the break. The third quarter would be were the Huskies would run away with the games as there defense would really step up as the Huskies win the third 19-5 and take a 56-43 lead after the third. The Red Raiders were unable to much of a run in the 4th as the Huskies would get the 75-61 victory. In the winning effort Jon Dubleavey would lead the with 15 points as the Huskies go to 16-1 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Matt Swanston (11) wins the opening tip of the game with the tip forward to start the offense. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in Section X East Division action as part of Senior Night. The Bulldogs would get off to a quick start as they would have a 21-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter they would outscore the Panthers 23-3 and take a 44-8 lead at intermission. In the second half it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would score the Panthers 17-3 and cruise to the 61-11 victory. In the winning effort Devin Barnes would lead the way with 10 points. Coach Mike mMartin would like to thank all the senoirs for the time and commitment to the program over the years. With the win the Bulldogs go to 13-4 on the season. Gallery

The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moria Panthers in section ten basketball action between to longtime rivals. The game would get very physical with many fouls called throughout the game even a couple injury timeouts were needed but what else would you expect with rivals. When the first quarter would come to end the Bulldogs would hold a slim 12-11 lead. In the second quarter it would be more of the same and the Bulldogs would have a 26-20 lead at the break. The Panthers would come out fired up and trim the Bulldogs lead to 39-38 headed to the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Panthers would actually take a four-point lead with four minutes to play but the Bulldogs would have a fifteen point swing and cruise to the 60-49 win A key factor in the Bulldogs win would be that made 23 free throws. Leading the way in victory for the Bulldogs would be Noah Bowes with 24 points as the Bulldogs go to 8-3 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Noah Bowes (32) lays it up of the window in the mist of heavy track for the basket for two of his thirteen points. The Chateaugay Bulldogs host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in section ten action. The game would be a rematch of last years section ten class d championship game and it would deffenately live up to the billing. The game would get very physical at times. When the first quarter would come to end they would be tied 7-7. In the second quarter the Bulldog defense would step as they would win the quarter 16-9 and take the 23-16 lead into the locker room. When the teams would return for the third quarter the intenity would remain and the Bulldogs would remain and the Bulldogs would get the quarter 14-9 and take the 37-25 into the fourth. In the fourth quarter the offenses would come alive and the Yellow Jackets would get it 22-19 but the Bulldogs would hold on for the 56-47 victory. In the the winning effort Devan Barnes would lead the way with fifteen points as the Bulldogs improve to 6-3 on the season. Gallery
