The Panthers although would cut the lead in half with under five minutes to go to make the reminder intense. Although the Cardinals would put the game away in the last minute on a empty netter from Annie Katonka to secure the 3-1 victory. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game from Ashley Songin at 13:47 of the first period. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 at 3:05 of the second period on Nicole Unsworth. Then just under a minute later the Cardinals would go up 3-0 Abby Brush goal. The Cardinals would end there scoring at 14:17 of the second period on the Kaitlin Mead-Drew goal and secure the 4-0 victory. Plattsburgh State's Ashley Davis (1) prepares for the save coming in from the Buffalo State shooter as part of a 12 save game for the shutout. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet up with the Buffalo State Bengals to finish of a weekend doubleheader in the NEWHL in front of 345 fans. The Cardinals wouldn't waste anytime as they would get three goals in the first period from Ashley Songin, Annie Katonka and Nicole Unsworth for the 3-0 lead. In the second period the Cardinals would strike for two more coming from Mackenzie Millen and Annie Katonka to make it a 5-0 Cardinals lead. The Cardinals would add one more in the third period from Moe Tsukimoto to secure the 6-0 victory. In the winning effort the Cardinal goaltenders would combine to make 16 saves in the shutout as the Cardinals go to 13-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Avery Holland (5) with the goal she slides by the post on the rebound. It would be an Upstate New York Girls Hockey League game between the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Massena Red Raiders. The game would start off good for the visiting Red Raiders as they would get the opening goal from Megs Wilmshurst 46 seconds into the game. Although the Hornets would keep the fight up and tie the game at 1 on Ada Johnson's goal at the 6:17 mark of the first period. The game would stay there til the 5:53 mark of the second period when the Red Raiders would regain the lead on the Hannah Chilton goal. Although it would be short-lived as the Hornets would tie it up at 2 90 seconds later on the Avery Holland goal. Although once again the Red Raiders would get the lead back on a goal at the 6:29 mark of the third period to make it 3-2. Once again the Hornets would tie the game up at three with 90 seconds left in regulation on the Gillan Boule goal to force. In the overtime, it would come quick as Massena Red Raiders Hannah Chilton lights the lamp 31 seconds in for the 4-3 victory. In the losing effort, the Plattsburgh Hornets fall to 6-2 on the season. Plattsburgh State's Madison Walker (17) comes in on the breakaway and fires the shot on net for the goal. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the newest member of the member of the Northeast Womens Hockey League the Canton Kangaroos. The Cardinals would not be the best of host as they score 38 seconds into the game on the Ivy Boric goal to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would answer again at the 4:36 mark of the period on the Madison Walker goal to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Before the period would end the Cardinals would strike two more times to make it 4-0 on goals from Holly Schmelzer and Annie Kantonka. The Cardinals would lighten up the rest of the game and get just one more at the 9:51 mark of the second period from Annie Katonka for her second of the game to make it 5-0 Cardinals. The Kangaroos would avoid the shutout with a goal by Alyssa Suzuki at the 1:54 mark of third period. The Cardinals would secure the 5-1 win and go to 7-0 on the season. In the winning effort Nicole Unsworth and Annie Katonka would have three point nights while Lilla Nelson would make 24 saves. Gallery
